Let’s see what’s in the October 2017 Mommy Mailbox box!
Everything was shipped in a white box with the Mommy Mailbox logo on top.
A peek inside!
October’s box theme was “Survive” and it was curated by Tina Koral, a full time mom, subscription box owner, and breast cancer survivor.
An info card listed all of the items in the box, along with brief descriptions for each one.
Mommy Mailbox Cashmere Scarf
A Mommy Mailbox exclusive item, this pretty scarf is made of 100% cashmere and is sooo soft! The color is a warm pink/peach shade and the edges are adorned with long fringe. I’m a little bummed that I’m not able to personally wear it (cashmere isn’t vegan), but I’m sure I can find someone who will be more than happy to take it off my hands. 🙂
Illume Sugared Blossom Bar Soap ($8)
This luxurious bar soap is handmade and triple-milled. It’s scented with notes of sugared jasmine, vanilla & sandalwood, and is enriched with nourishing ingredients including cocoa butter, shea butter, and olive oil. I was happy to see that it’s made without animal ingredients and doesn’t have an overly floral scent. Perfect!
Olive + Piper Earrings ($32)
These vintage-inspired stud earrings are adorned with marquise, tear drop, and solitaire crystals. Designed in Vancouver, they’re plated in 14k gold and have titanium posts. They feature a warm color palette of pink, brown, and white — allowing them to be worn with endless ensembles.
Ad Astra Apothecary Essential Oil Roller ($15)
How pretty is this essential oil roller?! I love when actual parts of botanicals are included in the bottle. This all natural blend features dried rosebuds, rose essential oil, vetiver essential oil, lime essential oil, and coconut oil.
HR Poppin’ Snacks Passionately Pink Popcorn ($4)
A pink, candy-coated treat of marshmallow flavored popcorn. While there is a pink ribbon sticker on the package, I couldn’t find any info as to whether any portion of its sales actually goes to supporting breast cancer programs. — Hopefully it does!
I really enjoyed this month’s survivor-themed Mommy Mailbox! They did a great job with the curation and everything (well, minus the popcorn) felt very luxe. The total retail value for October’s box (NOT including the scarf, which I didn’t have a value for) was just under $60! 🙂 — Remember if you’d like to subscribe, you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “ROSE5“!
