Mommy’s Me Tyme October 2014 Review & Giveaway

Mommy’s Me Tyme is a monthly subscription box for busy moms and busy women in general. It’s a fun box of surprise goodies to make your month a little brighter. Each box will contain at least 5 items and can include things such as jewelry, spa & bath products, beauty items, accessories, and more. Boxes are $29.95/month (plus $7.95 shipping).

I recently received October’s Mommy’s Me Tyme box for review. (Actually, I won it in a giveaway on another blog. Woohoo!)

Let’s see what was inside!

First look. Everything was shipped in a plain brown box with pink packing tape. The theme for October is “Fight Like a Girl”, in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Be prepared for lots of pink!

The info sheet has both photos and descriptions of all the items included in the box, along with their retail values.

Avon’s Breast Cancer Awareness Bracelet ($5) – For each one of these bracelets sold, Avon donates $1 to breast cancer awareness. Nice! It’s a dainty little bracelet adorned with pink ribbons and purple (darker pink?) rhinestones.

Sharper Image Digital Photo Keychain ($19.99) – This is a neat digital keychain that can hold up to 60 images. It has a rechargeable battery and good sized 1.5 inch LCD display. I don’t have much use for it since I have a zillion photos on my phone, but my mom saw it and told me to give it to her for Christmas. Welp, that’s one gift down! haha

Handmade Rhinestoned EOS Lip Balm ($12) – Holy blinged-out lip balm! This strawberry sorbet flavored EOS lip balm is decorated with a bazillion tiny pink & silver rhinestones. When the balm is all used up, the seller suggests to use it as a pill box or fun container for mints.

Pink Breast Cancer Awareness Carabiner Keychain ($7) – A pink carabiner keychain to show your support for the cause. I don’t carry keys around anymore, so I’ll be passing this along to someone who can actually use it.

Bath & Body Works Scentportable Car Freshener Hanger & Fragrance Refill ($14.00) – I totally forgot to take a photo of the front (back?) of these mittens, which is where all the rhinestones are. Whoops. I’ve never seen these before, but the scent refill somehow goes into the holder and you hang it up in your car (or anywhere else that needs some “freshening”).

This “Fight like a Girl” print isn’t listed as an actual item, but was included as a little bonus.

Spoiler: November’s box will include a locket and charm valued at over $30!

I love the theme Mommy’s Me Tyme chose this month — so much pink! And rhinestones! A fun, girly box for sure. The value seemed to be there too, considering the items (using the prices from the info sheet) total $57.99.
