Monthly Love is a newer “time of the month” subscription box that sends you snacks, pampering products, and a little gift along with your choice of feminine products.
A portion of every month’s profit is donated to a cause or charity that’s often associated with the particular month. For June, they decided to focus on heat waves and how to protect yourself from them during the upcoming summer months. A portion of their profits this month will be donated to the American Red Cross. (Last month’s cause was skin cancer awareness and donations were made to the Skin Cancer Foundation.)
Monthly Love boxes are $30/month and shipping is always free.
Let’s see what came in June’s box!
The info sheet listed everything that was in June’s box, as well as the featured charity’s website. They also included a separate information sheet on the types of heat advisories, how to prepare for them, and how to care for those (including yourself) affected by the heat. (It looks like I’m missing the Summer’s Eve wipes, but no biggie.)
Always Infinity Regular Pads – There are a variety of different pad/tampon brands to pick from. You can choose as many tampons/liners/pads as you want, up to 25 total items. Like last month, I chose 22 regular pads and 3 liners.
Tylenol Extra – Two doses of Tylenol were included for those wonderful monthly cramps.
Burt’s Bees Replenishing Lip Balm – It was nice to see a higher value, name brand “pampering” item in this month’s box. This balm contains antioxidant-rich pomegranate oil and promises to restore and hydrate dry lips.
Cool Off Wipes (2) – These are so cool (ha)! They’re portable cloths that you press on the back of your neck and other areas of the body to help you cool off. They’re made with natural herbs and essential oils. The cooling sensation is said to last from 20 minutes to an hour. The reviews on Amazon seem pretty positive, so I’m really interested to see if they work!
Pink Passion Bath Salts – There’s no label on this aside from the sticker on the front, so I’m not sure what these salts are made with, but they definitely smell nice.
Antique Silver Star Anklet – June’s gift was this pretty silver anklet. It’s hard to tell from the photo (sorry!), but it has tiny stars all around it. Cute!
Snacks – Strangely, these were the same exact snacks that were sent in last month’s box. I thought it was a mistake at first, until I saw them all listed on the info sheet again. I have no idea why they wouldn’t have sent a new assortment of snacks, but what can ya do. Included were: Cheez-It, Fruit Roll-Up, Special K Pastry Crisps, Famous Amos Cookies, Rice Krispies Treat, Kellogg’s Fruit Snacks, and a Rice Krispies Treat.
Luxe Lollies from B.O.S.S. Girls Inc. – These lollipops were also included in last month’s box. Thankfully, I got different flavors this time: Mint Chocolate Chip and Pear Rosemary Champagne Spritzer. The pear one was so pretty!
Wyler’s Drink Mix – I tried one of these and it wasn’t bad, though I’m not a big fan of artificial drink mixes. It was a lot sweeter than I thought it would be, especially for having just 5 calories. Kinda weirded me out.
So that’s my June Monthly Love box!
I thought the pampering items were better than last month’s, and I liked this month’s gift (the bracelet)… However, I found it super odd that they sent the same exact snacks/treats again. It would definitely get old to keep getting the same edibles every month. Part of the fun of subscription boxes is the surprise, and seeing all these snacks a second time was kind of a bummer.
That said, this was still a fun box.
