July 2018 My Zodiac Box review time!
If you haven’t heard, My Zodiac Box is a new monthly subscription box that’s personalized just for you based on your astrological sign and other preferences. Each box will include 4-6 items chosen especially for your particular sign and the results of a survey you’ll take upon signing up. HomArt Constellation Tote Bag
This roomy 12″ by 14″ tote features a dark blue background (to mimic the night’s sky) with a collection of constellations printed in white ink. Each of the constellations is labeled, along with some of their more prominent (larger?) stars. The tote is made of a sturdy canvas material and expands at the bottom to sit upright (and hold lots of stuff!).
SockSmile Constellation Socks
Constellation socks! — Are you sensing a theme yet? 😉 I wasn’t able to find these exact socks online, so I linked to a similar pair. These “one size fits all” no-show socks have a design very similar to the tote, but less detailed. They’re made of a comfy cotton (75%), polyester (23%) and spandex (2%) blend. I typically tend to wear longer length socks, but it makes sense that they’d send a shorter pair for these warmer months.
Amethyst Cluster
I had to include views of this amethyst cluster from all sides because it is SO freakin’ neat looking. This is by far the largest crystal I’ve ever received in a subscription box and it’s absolutely gorgeous. According to the info card, amethyst is a natural stress reliever that can encourage inner strength and transform negative energy into love energy. It can also help dispel nightmares, relieve insomnia, and reduce eye strain.
DesignWorks Ink Journal
This beautiful hardcover journal has a navy blue cloth cover with metallic gold constellations and lettering that reads: It is written in the stars. It measures 5.125 x 8.25 inches and has hand sewn binding that lays flat for writing. I didn’t notice it until after taking these photos, but it also has a gold ribbon marker to hold your place inside. Each of its 240 pages are lined and have designated spots for a subject & date.
Modern Alchemy Essential Oil Bracelet
I wasn’t able to find any info on the bracelet, as it’s currently sold out in the Modern Alchemy shop. However, it appears to be made of lava stone beads, which are great for using with essential oils due to their high porosity. The bracelet also has five reddish-orange beads that look to have been chosen based on my astrological sign (Leo).
The Three Wise Cats Magickal Shoppe Leo Oil
According to The Three Wise Cats’ Etsy listing, this oil can be used to harness Leo positive qualities or help combat Leo negative qualities. You can use it in an oil warmer, to anoint objects and individuals, or in spells/rituals, etc. Unfortunately, the listing didn’t specify exactly which essential oils were included in the blend and I can’t quite sniff them out myself. 😉
My Zodiac Box continues to impress! I really enjoyed this month’s constellation theme and was pleased with the quality of all the items. My personal favorites this time were the beautiful amethyst cluster, sturdy canvas tote, and nicely crafted journal.
