Time for another Nadine West review! — Let’s see what’s in my August 2024 package!
Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home. Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices.
I received 2 tops, 2 bottoms (pants), 1 dress, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
New York Laundry Halsey Flutter Sleeve Top
I LOVE this top! — It’s 100% something I would purchase if I came across it on a shopping trip. 🙂 There’s nothing I don’t like here — the adorable flutter sleeves, the color, the lace/crochet detailing — I love it all! I don’t even mind the little drawstring ties at the bottom or small cut-out at the collar (which I usually detest). 😉
DNA Couture Aera Stretch Satin Short Sleeved Blouse
So while I loved the first top, this second one… Not so much. The satiny material reminds me of either something I had to wear to look “business professional” during my high school internship, or a pajama set that’s missing the pants. The combination of bright pink/magenta + shiny = big no for me.
J. Michelle of CA Ariella Maxi Dress
I had some bad lighting going on in my photos so it’s a little hard to tell, but the dress above is also very bright pink. That, combined with the bold floral print is just a bit too “loud” for my liking. However, I don’t mind the actual style of the dress. I love the length, thick straps, and shirred waist. I just wish it was a different color.
Express Circe Pants
Ooh, more Express jeans! — I received a different pair a few months back, but they weren’t really my style. These ones are definitely more “me”! I love the dark wash and lack of extra details (pre-made rips, contrasting stitching, etc.). I also appreciate the fit, which is purposefully snug and flattering.
Color 5 Frances Pants
These are the type of pants that I wouldn’t dare wear out of the house, but would happily laze around in as “loungewear”. They have a comfy elastic waistband and very wide leg that gets even wider at the bottom. Perfect cozy pants to pair with a hoodie on days where I have no plans to leave the house. 😉
Bo BK Jewelry Marilyn Necklace
This month’s jewelry item was a set of two mid-length silver necklaces. The first (and slightly shorter) one featured a simple chain with a cute heart-shaped clasp as a pendant. The second necklace had a much larger linked chain accented with a round stamped metal charm. Each one can be worn separately, or both together for a more layered look.
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My August 2024 Nadine West shipment included an even mix of both hits and misses. 😉 My favorites this time were the New York Laundry Flutter Sleeve Top, Express Circe Jeans, and Color 5 Frances Pants. — Remember, for a limited time you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
