Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home.
Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can save $25 when you keep every item in your package and get FREE shipping with coupon code “ROSEBUDS25“!
Let’s see what’s in my December 2021 Nadine West package!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices. Since my package was sent for review, the actual prices weren’t listed — however most pieces sell for between $10-$30 each.
I received 2 tops, 2 bottoms (pants/leggings), 1 dress, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
Jerlene Top in Dusty Rose
Okay, so this shirt is a good example of why clothing subscription boxes are so fun to try. If I were to see this piece while browsing the racks at my favorite clothing store, I would likely skip right over it. However… Since it was included in my Nadine West shipment, I was obligated to try it on and see how I liked it. — And to my surprise, I actually DID (like it). And although it doesn’t quite vibe with my usual style, I loved that it pushed me out of my comfort zone. 🙂
Arin Top in Forest Green
While I’m open to some deviations from my usual style, I’m still not a big fan of… whatever you call the stuff that’s going on on the bottom right of this shirt. 😉 I’m sure it’s considered a fun detail for a lot of people, but it’s just not appealing to me. The color is nice though!
Cierra Dress in Grey Mist
Dresses are almost always my favorite pieces to receive from Nadine West. The lightweight dress above features an empire waist, a wide crew neck collar, and longer-than-normal short sleeves. It’s very comfy and I love the light grey color, however I do wish it had long sleeves for these cooler months.
Krissa Pants in Black
Thanks to this subscription, I’ve acquired a large collection of black pants/leggings. I honestly can’t remember the last time I had to go out and purchase them elsewhere. — Which is quite impressive, considering I wear leggings every damn day. 😉 That said, I’ve grown to become a bit more picky when it comes to my favorites. The pair above won me with its proclaimed “ultimate tummy control”, but then lost me with its split(?) detail at the ankles. Whomp, whomp…
Mimi Pants in Black
More black pants! — And these ones were winners! Although I wasn’t crazy about the button details at the top (I’m all about minimal details), they’re easy enough to cover with whatever shirt/dress I decide to pair them with. The fit was perfect and I’m happy to add them to my ever-growing collection.
Linked Necklace in Silver
This month’s jewelry item was a long silver necklace featuring two linked circles with a long vertical bar suspended from the smallest of them. Not one of my favorites, but not horrible either. 😉
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My December 2021 Nadine West shipment included an equal amount of both hits and misses. For someone as picky about clothing as I am, I’ll consider that a success. 😉 — Remember, for a limited time you can save $25 when you keep every item in your package and get FREE shipping with coupon code “ROSEBUDS25“!
