Time for another Nadine West review! — Let’s see what’s in my January 2023 package!
Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home. Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices. Since my package was sent for review, the actual prices weren’t listed — however most pieces sell for between $10-$30 each.
I received 3 tops, 1 bottom (pants/leggings), 1 dress, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
Alaina Top in Marigold
I’m all about simple, solid-colored basics. This bright yellow-y gold tee features a wide v-neck collar, short almost fluttery sleeves, and a subtle high-low style hem at the bottom. It’s more of a tunic-length and hits right below my butt. I wish it wasn’t quite as form-fitting around the mid-section, but it’s still cute.
Aleena Top in Mauve
Another comfy, easy to wear tee! Unlike the yellow top, this one is a lot less form-fitting (and therefore more flattering) around the mid-section. It features a “ringer tee” inspired design with white contrasting collar/sleeves against a pretty mauve shade. The perfect tee to pair with your favorite jeans!
Tailgating Queen Top in Dark Olive
When I first saw this top folded up in one of the bundles I initially thought it was cute and something I would totally wear… that is, until I saw the rest of it. I mean, I get that not everyone likes to stick to the “basics” when it comes to tees but I just don’t see how this shirt (dress?) would be very flattering on anyone. However — and maybe I’m reaching a bit here — but perhaps it’s called “Tailgating Queen” because the extra material in the back is to keep your booty warm when you’re sitting outside at an outdoor football game? I mean, that would kind of make sense, no? 😉
Shiela Rose Queenie Bottoms
Basic black leggings are always an instant win in my book. These “Queenie” bottoms from Sheila Rose feature a wide waistband, functional side pockets on both legs, and zero unnecessary “embellishments”. (Yay!). As always, I received a size medium and they fit perfectly.
Geena Dress in Black
On the right person, this dress would look really cute. On me? Eh, not so much. 😉 I typically opt for a-line styles, which are a lot more flattering for my body type. This also looks a little too formal for my very non-formal lifestyle. It’s cute though!
Cece Necklace in Silver
This month’s jewelry item was a mid-length statement necklace featuring a silver chain adorned with a row of turquoise colored stones. I’m not sure if I can pull of something so bold, but I’ll give it a try!
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My January 2023 Nadine West shipment again included an even amount of hits and misses. My favorites this time were the mauve Aleena top, Shiela Rose Queenie leggings, and yellow Alaina top. — Remember, for a limited time you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
