Time for another Nadine West review! — Let’s see what’s in my May 2023 package!
Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home. Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices. Since my package was sent for review, the actual prices weren’t listed — however most pieces sell for between $10-$30 each.
I received 2 tops, 2 bottoms (pants/leggings), 1 dress, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
Karsyn Top in Black
I love this top! I’m all about cozy, casual shirts so this will fit perfectly into my wardrobe. Plus, it’s black. 😉 Despite having long sleeves, it’s made with a soft lightweight material that makes it ideal for wearing right through the not-quite-so-warm early days of Spring. For cooler months, it can be easily layered with a thin tee for extra warmth.
Martha Top in Olive(?)
My packing slip listed this top as being “olive” in color, but as you can see it’s most definitely animal print. As someone who has never owned (or sought out) anything with an animal print design, this was an immediate “nope” for me. (For whatever reason, I’ve always associated it with Peg Bundy. 😉 )
Adele A-Line Dress in Light Mocha
I love when Nadine West sends something I’m totally not expecting — like this adorable boho-inspired dress! If I were to come across this in a local clothing store, I would absolutely pick it up. It has so many cute details — the balloon-y sleeves, tiered skirt, open peasant-style collar, and fun all-over textured print. I think it would look adorable on its own, but I think I’m going to wait and pair it with tights in cooler weather.
Kiarra Pants in Black
These sleek black pants have a nice snug fit that makes them feel like slightly less stretchy leggings. I appreciate the fact that they’re solid black and have no weird contrasting designs/stitching/buttons. Oh, but they do have functional side pockets, which is totally acceptable. 😉
Mesh Arrow Leggings in Gray
It’s a bit hard to tell from the photos above, but the pink-ish colored stripes down the sides of these leggings are actually mesh/see-through panels. There are 2 panels positioned at thigh-level and another set of 3 at the ankles/bottoms. The leggings also feature a wide/slimming waistband and functional pockets on both sides.
Hanna Necklace in Silver
This month’s jewelry item was a long silver necklace consisting of three separate chains of varying lengths and styles. Attached to the longest chain was what appears to be a silver arrowhead pendant. As a non-Native American, I can’t say I’d feel very comfortable wearing this, so it’ll be passed along to someone who will.
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My May 2023 Nadine West shipment included a few pieces that I loved, as well as a couple misses. 😉 My favorites this time were the Karsyn Top, Adele A-Line Dress, and Kiarra Pants. 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
