Time for another Nadine West review! — Let’s see what’s in my September 2023 package!
Nadine West is a clothing subscription service providing customers with personalized items to try on from the comfort of their home. Each monthly shipment — chosen by your own personal stylist — will include 4 to 6 items, typically consisting of tops (shirts, blouses, cardigans), a bottom (shorts, leggings, skirts), a dress and a couple pieces of jewelry or other accessories. They may also include seasonal items, like sunglasses in the summer or a scarf or beanie in the winter.
Disclosure: Package was received for review purposes. Post may contain affiliate links.
Upon signing up, you’ll fill out a style profile indicating your clothing size(s), jewelry preference, colors you’d like to avoid, areas you’d prefer to conceal (tummy, thighs, etc.), and more. This can be changed/updated at any time.
After you receive your package, you can try the items on in the comfort of your home, and see how easily they fit into your existing wardrobe. Return what you didn’t love by the specified date on your packing slip by using the same envelope, return postage label and the sticky tape included. There are no fees or no hidden costs. You simply pay only for the items you keep.
There is no monthly cost for the subscription, but rather a $9.78 shipping charge. If you choose to keep any of your items, that charge is credited to your purchase (making shipping free!). — For a limited time, you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
Everything was shipped in a bright pink poly mailer bag — which is the same bag you’ll use to return any items you choose not to purchase.
All of the pieces were folded into two separate bundles and wrapped in pink tissue paper.
A packing slip listed each of the items, along with their discounted prices. Since my package was sent for review, the actual prices weren’t listed — however most pieces sell for between $10-$30 each.
I received 2 tops, 1 bottom (pants/leggings), 2 dresses, and 1 necklace.
The screenshot above shows how I described my personal style in the Style Profile. Let’s see how they did this time!
Amaya Cardigan in Black/Pink Stripe
This long black cardigan is great for layering during the cooler months ahead. It almost felt more like a cape when I tried it on, which I’m totally cool with. — I’m all about flow-y, comfy clothes. 🙂 While the pink stripes push me a little out of my “black/gray everything” comfort zone, I really don’t mind them. I also like the defined waist, as it gives it a more dress-like appearance (especially from the back).
Not Your Grammy’s Cami in Black
Another nice piece for layering, this solid black cami is constructed of a super stretchy swimsuit-like material for a snug fit. I love that it has adjustable straps, which I’m not sure that I’ve ever seen on a Nadine West item. I’m not too crazy about the criss-cross details on the neckline, but for layering it’s no biggie.
Shiela Rose Arlina Dress in Aqua
I was a little surprised to find such a summery dress in a September shipment (being that I’m in NY), but I suppose it could be layered with a cardigan and tights? The dress features a pleated front, an elasticized A-line waist, and a cute keyhole detail in the back. It’s actually so lightweight and soft that I’m considering using it as a nightie. 😉
Krisha Long Sleeve Bodycon Dress in Black
Welp, they lost me at “bodycon”… If there’s one thing a (typical) 40-something year old mom doesn’t want, it’s a super snug-fitting dress. It doesn’t look too small on the hanger, but the struggle was real when it came to trying to get it over my head. Not a good time. Needless to say, this one’s a miss. 😉
Shiela Rose Megan Cargo Jogger in Heather Grey
Yay for comfy pants!! After failing to squeeze into the bodycon dress above, I was more than happy to slide these cozy heather grey joggers on. Not only are they super comfortable, but they even have four functional pockets — two traditional ones below the waistband and another two cargo pockets on each side.
Joana Necklace in Rhodium
This month’s jewelry item was a long silver necklace featuring a ball/bead chain holding a solid silver rod(?) pendant. Its minimalist style makes it ideal for pairing with just about any outfit.
Once I decide which items to keep, I can simply place the unwanted pieces back into the original shipping bag and send them back using the pre-paid return label above. So easy!
My September 2023 Nadine West shipment had an even amount of hits and misses, which I’m fine with considering how picky I am. 🙂 My favorites this time were the Amaya Cardigan, Arlina Dress, and Megan Cargo Jogger. — Remember, for a limited time you can try your first package for FREE (no shipping charge!) and save $25 when you keep every item in your package with coupon code “NWROSE25“!
