Avalai is a brand new subscription box that provides everything you’ll need for that good ol’ “time of the month”.
There are six different box options to choose from based upon your preferred product (tampons, pads, or a mix of both) and your flow (light, medium or heavy). Brands include Always pads, Tampax tampons, and Cottonelle (wipes).
Boxes range from $17 to $19 (shipping included) and contain the feminine care products of your choice, as well as cleansing cloths, fun treats, and a special “product of the month”.

This is what I saw when I opened the box. Definitely a good “first glimpse”!
I chose the “Pads only, medium flow” option and received 11 Always regular pads and 5 Always overnights. So 16 pads total.
Product of the Month: Avalai Holder – How cute is this little “wallet”/holder? It was made exclusively for Avalai and is August’s “product of the month”. It holds one pad (or a few liners) and 3 tampons. There are plans in the works to make pad and tampon only versions, which would be great for me since I’m anti-tampon. (Though I’m thinking I can totally put lip balms in the “tampon” slots instead!)
Cottonelle FreshCare Flushable Cleansing Cloths – This is a 10-pack of alcohol-free cleansing cloths. These are flushable and great for freshening up on the go.
Hyleys Tea – You can’t have a time of the month box without tea! 😉 Three different varieties were included: Black tea with Rosehips & Hibiscus, Black tea & Linden Blossom, and Green tea & Lemon.
Brookside Dark Chocolate Pomegranate – Dark chocolate covered fruit pieces made with real pomegranate juice and other fruit juices. Sometimes dark chocolate is vegan, but sadly, this is not one of those times. Waahhh.
YumEarth Fruit Snacks – Oooh! I was excited to see these. YumEarth snacks are all natural and made with real fruit extracts. They’re also organic, gluten free AND vegan. Woo! Oh, and they taste good too. 😉
Avalai is a great service to “treat” yourself to during your time of the month. I didn’t do a cost breakdown, since these type of boxes are more about convenience than overall value, but I did enjoy everything that was included. The cute exclusive “product of the month” was a nice touch and I love that they included some vegan-friendly snacks. Yay!
