Nom Nom Gifts is a new subscription box that sends you an assortment of homemade artisan desserts every month.
Each box will contain a sampling of handpicked baked goods and other treats from independent bakers across the country. Items will typically be sourced from top-rated shops on Etsy, Goldbely, and Yelp. Treats can include cookies, pastries, fudge, brittle, pies, caramels, toffee, and more.
Subscriptions are $39.99/month with US shipping included.
Let’s see what’s in the December 2015 Nom Nom Gifts box!
The treats were shipped in a large blue Nom Nom Gifts branded box.
A peek inside. As you can see, the treats were very well protected. 😉
There they are!
Each dessert was individually packaged in bubble wrap to ensure a safe arrival.
A letter from the “chief taster” at Nom Nom Gifts included a run-down of each dessert and where it purchased.
Vanilla-Almond Sugar Christmas Cookies (SweetArtSweets) – How fancy are these cookies?! A perfect choice for the holiday season. They’re made by a Florida-based Etsy baker who sells beautifully decorated sugar cookies for just about any occasion. My husband shared them with our girls, who continually requested “just one more bite!”. Clearly, they were a win.
English Toffee (SweetBrittleBakingCo) – This classic English toffee is from an Etsy-based baker who specializes in brittle, chocolates, fudge, and more. It’s made with real butter and coated in semi-sweet chocolate. My mom was visiting when I received this box, so I let her take this home to enjoy. (Yep, us vegans have some seriously strong willpower! 😉 )
Lemon Fudge (TheSweetLifeBakeryKy) – A unique lemon flavored fudge made by a Kentucky-based Etsy shop run by a mother/daughter team of bakers. This one was passed along to my mom as well, who LOVES fudge.
Nom Nom Gifts is an easy way to discover homemade artisan desserts from all over the country in one single shipment. The treats were packed very well — I was impressed to see those sugar cookies in tact! — but I do wish they were sealed in more airtight packages (instead of just plastic bags fastened with tape). That’s probably a pretty easy fix though! Value-wise, I’m not sure how this stands… $40 for 3 items seems a bit steep, but if you ordered from each individual shop you’d have to pay shipping for each one, so… I suppose it’s not terribly high, considering. 🙂
