I was first introduced to North Coast Organics a couple months ago, when they were featured in January’s Vegan Presence package. In that package was a travel size of “Death by Lavender” and it was truly love at first sniff!
North Coast Organics is a small independent mom & pop son company run by Nathan (the founder) and his mom Debbie. Cute, right? It was started by Nathan when he was having a hard time finding an effective, organic deodorant that was also vegan. His solution? Create his own! Problem solved. 🙂
All of the products offered by North Coast Organics are certified organic, cruelty-free, and vegan. In addition to deodorant, they also sell (100% vegan) hand & body lotions, as well as lip balms.
I received samples of all 3 of their deodorant scents for review — check ’em out!
Death by Lavender – Awwww yeeeee-ah! My beloved Death by Lavender! I’m actually running low on the sample I got from Vegan Presence, so I was stoked to see that they sent me a full size of this bad boy. Woo! Don’t let the skull on the label scare you away — this stuff smells like a big ol’ field of lavender. It’s made with coconut oil, carnauba wax, cornstarch, baking soda, and a special blend of essential oils. 100% vegan, all natural, and mostly organic. Oh yeah, and it fights odor too. 😉
Revolver – I *think* this is meant to be a more “manly” deodorant, but I could be wrong. I figure the lavender is more of a feminine scent, and this one has a more… unisex(?) scent. Plus, there’s guns on it and guns are totally manly, right? I dunno… Anywhooo… This is made with the same great ingredients as the Death by Lavender, but minus the lavender (duh).
Naked – Ooh la la! This one is for all of you sensitive folk. It’s designed for those with emo sensitive skin and contains the most minimal ingredients possible: coconut oil, carnauba wax, arrowroot powder & baking soda. That’s it. No added scents or other irritants to upset your sensitive pits. 🙂

I’ve been using Primal Pit Paste, but their stick has beeswax. I like that this brand uses carnuba instead.

What interests me most about North Coast Organics, apart from their being certified organic and cruelty-free, is that it is a small, independent, family company. That is something I try to look for when shopping and why I do most of my shopping for beauty products on Etsy.

I love trying new vegan deodorants and have had the pleasure of using North Coast Organics products. They are definitely more effective than other brands I’ve tried.
Well, first of all I’m always interested in supporting vegan companies, and second of all I’m still looking for the best vegan deoderant out there. The product scents also all look like ones I’d legitimately like trying too, especially the lavender one! 🙂
The products are organic and vegan with minimum ingredients with words I can actually pronounce!

I love finding new natural deodorants to try. This sounds like a really good one, especially since it is a stick.
I love that it is all natural, yet smells goods. Most of the all natural deodorants I use either smell bad or don’t smell at all. I want something that smells good, yet not strong.
I’m vegan for going on 17 years, and that’s what I like. As you well know, being vegan, it’s a relief to find a company to trust and not have to scrutinize every product they make.
