*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here. With bluum, you can choose your own products and build your own box. They feature the same great brands, plus you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.*
It’s Citrus Lane time again! I saw plenty of spoilers this month, so I was pretty sure I knew what I was going to get. I was hoping for different variations of the things I got, but no such luck. Ah well. It’s still a pretty good box.
If you don’t already know, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids (aged newborn-5). It’s $25/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
The theme this time is Thanksgiving/holiday mealtime and my box is geared towards a 16-month old girl. Let’s checka-check it ooout!
Tugboat from Green Toys – While I love Green Toys (they’re all made from recycled milk jugs!), I was really hoping to get the more “girly” cookware set that I saw in other boxes. That said, this is still cool. The boat can be filled with water and poured out of a little spout in front… Might make the hair rinsing part of bath-time a little less traumatizing for the girls. Fingers crossed. (Amazon Price: $9.99)
Everly was amazed by the boat. Chloe was kinda pissed off at it.
Bumkins Reusable Snack Bags – These are so cute! I have another Bumkins bag, but it’s Dr. Seuss-themed. I love that these have a more feminine design. I have nothing against gender-neutral stuff, but I do love me some hearts & birdies. 😉 These bags are waterproof and stain/odor resistant. We use the one we have all the time when we go out, so I’m happy to have more. (Amazon Price: $6.95)
Skip Hop Zootensils – This is a cute fork & spoon set from Skip Hop. The handles have soft-grip sides to make them easier for toddlers to hold on to. They’re PBA/PVC-free and dishwasher safe. (Amazon Price: $5.99)
Plum Organics Baby Food – A ton of Plum Organics pouches were recently recalled due to packaging/spoilage issues, so Citrus Lane is sending anyone who received one a voucher to replace it. I love these pouches and hate to toss it, but I guess better safe than sorry. (Amazon Price: roughly $1.85)
Pur-lisse Pur-Lip Comfort – This is the “mom gift”. It’s petroleum-free and made with nourishing shea and mango butters. I have a zillion lip balms due to sub boxes, so I might just pass this along to someone else. ‘Tis the season for giving and whatnot. 😉 (Amazon Price: $12.26)
All totaled, the items in this month’s box come to $37.04. So I definitely got my money’s worth, even if I won’t use the lip balm. Works for me.
Citrus Lane is $25/month, but you can save 50% when you click here and use the code “BLOGSAVE” at checkout! Good deal. 🙂
Just posting this cos I love Chloe’s goofy face in the background. What a turd. 😉
