Let’s see what’s in the July 2015 Okie Goodies box!
The box was very large and VERY heavy!
A peek inside.
The theme for July’s box was “Poppin’ Firecrackers” and featured products that “pop, fizz, or fire up your tastebuds”.
Triple AAA Root Beer & Cream Soda – Triple AAA Root Beer Company was founded in Oklahoma in 1937 and successfully operated restaurants until closing up in 1974. Nearly 40 years later it was reopened under new ownership and the nostalgic drinks were back. Bottles of both cream soda and root beer were included in the box.
Premier Popcorn Liberty Mix – This is a festive (well, it was festive in July) mix of red, white, and blue candied popcorn. Each color has a different flavor: cherry (red), cheesecake (white), and blueberry (blue).
Sweet Prairie Home Signature Fudge – As the name suggests, “Firecracker Fudge” has a bit of a kick to it. It’s made with real milk chocolate and sprinkled with a dusting of red pepper flakes. Interesting combo. It even comes with its own tiny spoon. 😉
Twisted Oak Foods Twisted Sauce – A sort of “all-purpose” sauce that adds a splash of spice to steaks, fajitas, eggs, soups, chicken, and more.
Trader Dave’s Gourmet Foods Spicy Cheddar Popcorn Seasoning – Add a little heat to your popcorn with this cheddar seasoning. It’s made with natural cheddar cheese and hot sauce flavors.
Suan’s Scotch Bonnet Flavor Sauce – The Scotch Bonnet pepper is one of the hottest peppers in the habanera family. This spicy sauce includes said peppers as well as green & red peppers, tomatoes, and carrots. It can be added to any dish that needs a bolder flavor.
Blackjack Spicy Beef Jerky – This jerky is made in the US, is preservative free, and contains all natural ingredients.
Mema’s Authentic Salsa – A medium salsa made with fresh veggies including tomatoes, jalapeños, and onions. After all of the spicy foods in this box, I was a little relieved to see a “medium” flavor!
While I didn’t do a cost breakdown, I gotta say I’m very impressed by all of the products included in July’s Okie Goodies box. There’s so many! It was fun to unbox because I just kept pulling out item after item… I could have done without so many sauce products, but other than that it was a very nicely curated box for July.
