OmNomBox is a fun subscription box that sends a selection of Asian treats to your door every month.
Every box will contain 10 to 12 full and sample sized snacks, including a beverage and sometimes a bonus treat. You’ll receive products from Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and more. An info sheet is always included to give you a better idea of what type of snacks are in the box (very helpful since only about half of the labels are in English).
Subscriptions are $25/month, but you can save $3 when you use coupon code “ROSEBUDS3” at checkout.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2015 OmNomBox!
The big white box was shipped via priority mail and a pair of beady eyes greeted me inside.
The info sheet included photos and descriptions of every item in the box.
Tohato Caramel Corn – Peanut-y caramel corn with a Cheeto-like puffed texture. Why can’t snacks in the US be this cute?
Bourbon Chocoliere – These are tart-like cookies with a shortbread-y base and a rich chocolate cream center. Yum.
Salt & Seaweed Senbei – A traditional rice cracker flavored with seaweed and salt.
Sangaria Royal Milk Tea – Is it weird that I kinda want to keep this can unopened and display it in my kitchen? It’s so pretty! This is a Japanese drink consisting of water, milk, sugar, and black tea.
Fujiya Home Pie – A small crispy sugar-coated cookie with a buttery, pie-like flavor.
Glico Green Tea Crackers – Light, melt-in-your-mouth crackers/cookies with a layer of green tea cream inside.
Alfort Milk Chocolates – Two different flavors of these chocolate treats were included… One with a traditional milk chocolate taste, and another with a more rich flavor.
Hapi Ramen Crunch Cracker in Original Flavor – A unique snack that’s like a cross between a ramen noodle and a regular chip. As the package brilliantly illustrates, they’re very crunchy. 😉
Pineapple Cakes – These Taiwanese pineapple-flavored cakes are actually popular gifts that are given on holidays and special occasions. Which (sort of?) explains why the label reads “Pineapple Cakes Gift Set”. Ha!
Bourbon Petit Lemon Sandwich Cookies – Aw, I was sooo hoping these tiny lemon-flavored sandwich cookies would be vegan… Nope. Ah well. My kiddos will enjoy ’em.
Mystery Bonus Snack – When I first saw this mystery snack, I thought for sure it was some kind of fish-based cracker. Turns out, it’s actually a chocolate cream-filled cookie! Much better than a fish cracker. 😉
Almond Crush Pocky – Last, but certainly not least… Pocky! I seriously regret not getting into Pocky before going vegan… The flavors always look so good! These ones are dipped in milk chocolate with chunks of crushed almonds. Mmmm.
Another fun box of treats from OmNomBox! — Don’t forget, you can save $3 on your first box when you use coupon code “ROSEBUDS3” at checkout!
