Panda Pals is a unique “play and learn” monthly sock subscription created just for kids.
Each shipment will include two colorful pairs of socks, along with fun and educational activities — aka “Socktivities”. The socks fit children 3 through 8 and are available in two sizes. For every subscription purchased, Sock Panda (the parent company of Panda Pals) donates a pair of socks to kids in need.
Subscriptions are $15/month with shipping included. For a limited time, you can save 15% with coupon code “PAL”.
Let’s see what’s in the April 2016 Panda Pals package!
As usual, everything was shipped in a white envelope featuring colorful sock & panda themed graphics.
A letter from Panda Pals introduced us to Charlie the Monkey, who likes to dance and play instruments.
The Socks – Since this month’s packet is all about Charlie the Monkey and her love for music, the socks also reflect that theme. One pair features a music note design, while the other depicts Charlie herself. As with all Panda Pals socks, both pairs feature built-in snaps to keep each sock together during the wash and when put away. No more stray socks!
Activity Worksheet – A 2-sided Socktivity worksheet provided little ones with fun activities including a “sock search”, music-related vocabulary words, fill-in-the-blanks, and more. One side of the worksheet was geared towards children ages 3-5, while the other was more appropriate for 6-8 year olds.
Music Soctivities – The past months have included a 2-page story/comic, but this time they mixed things up and provided DIY instrument activity ideas instead. There were instructions for maracas as well as a cardboard strumming instrument.
Sock Island Stickers – Children can use these colorful music-themed stickers to decorate the Sock Island map (received in the first month’s kit).
Panda Pals is definitely one of the more unique children’s subscription “boxes” out there. I do wish they’d include a few more activities for the kids, but otherwise it’s fun concept. Remember — for a limited time, you can save 15% with coupon code “PAL”!
