Let’s see what’s in the November 2017 PB&Jealous Box!
Everything was shipped in a small box with the PB&Jealous logo stamped on the side.
First look! — There wasn’t any sort of info card enclosed, so I’ll just jump right to the goods.
Peanut Butter Americano Cinnamon Honey Peanut Butter
100% natural peanut butter made with premium roasted peanuts and flavored with cinnamon & pure vanilla bean extract. Unlike most nut butters that are sweetened with sugar, this one gets its sweetness from Sonoran wildflower honey. I found it a bit odd that they labeled the product as “vegan”, when most vegans don’t consider honey to be vegan-friendly because it’s produced by bees. I do personally consume honey so it’s not an issue for me, but I thought I should point it out. 🙂
Laura Ann’s Jams Wild Blueberry Almond
I gotta say, I love how they cleverly turned “Laura Ann’s Jams” into an old vinyl record design on the lid. Cute! (UPDATE: After some Googling, I discovered that Laura used to be a drummer in a few indie/punk bands. 😀 ) This gourmet jam is made with wild blueberries, organic sugar, pectin, fresh squeezed lemon juice, and natural almond extract for a unique blend of “tarty” and “nutty”. You can enjoy this on a warm croissant, as a drink mixer, or paired with good ol’ peanut butter & bread.
The Jam Stand Blueberry Vanilla Jam
Also included in November’s box were two sample-sized packets of Blueberry Vanilla Jam from The Jam Stand. As its name implies, it features a blend of tart blueberries with flavorful vanilla extract. I like having sample sizes like this on hand in case of jam-related emergencies. — Yes, that’s totally a thing. 😉
PB&Jealous certainly kept true to its promise to deliver a nice pairing of artisan nut butter and jam. I was happy with the selections I received, though I do wish there was another item or maybe a few more samples to round out the overall value. Other than that, I love the concept of this subscription and definitely think it’s gift-worthy for anyone who enjoys hard to find nut butters & jams. 🙂
