Pen Pals 4 Me is a new subscription box/packet that inspires children to read, write, draw, and create.
Subscriptions are designed for children in preschool through grade 5. Twice a month, your child will receive personalized mailings filled with letters, activities, & more. When you sign up, you’ll select the appropriate age group for your child, as well as their preferred pen pal character (there are 6 to choose from, each with their own unique interests, goals, and hobbies). All mail is personalized & features engaging activities and even opportunities to earn free rewards & prizes. The first month will include a welcome box with markers, stickers, activities, and more. Subsequent months will be sent in an envelope mailer and will include writing stationery, coloring sheets, art cards, reward stickers, and other fun activities.
Subscriptions are $14.95/month with a 3-month plan, or less with longer commitments. Shipping is free!
Let’s see what’s in my September 2016 Pen Pals 4 Me welcome box!
Everything was sent in a bright purple box that was addressed to my girls.
A peek inside!
A welcome letter explained more about the subscription and introduced your child to their selected pen pal. — Ours is “Olivia”.
Since my girls just turned 4, I chose the “Preschool Pals” age group for our mailings. An “All About Me” activity sheet encouraged your child to write (or dictate) some fun facts about themselves and share the completed page with a friend or family member. A coloring page featuring their pen pal was also included.
A “My Writing” sheet was to be used to practice writing the letter I and the word Ice Cream, while a “My Art” sheet provided a blank canvas for drawing an ice cream cone. A 12-pack of colored markers could be used for this box and future mailings.
A “My Cloud” activity provided plenty of spaces to fill in with things your child is good at.
All six pen pals were depicted on a sheet of stickers, along with a few of their favorite things/hobbies.
A colorful postcard — complete with postage — was included for your child to write a message to their new pen pal. They even provided the pen. 😉
Every time your child received a letter from their pen pal, they’ll also get a sticker that they can place on the reward card above. With every 3 stickers earned, they’ll get a reward in their next mailing. Rewards can be special stickers, collectible trading cards (like the one above), and more.
Pen Pals 4 Me is such a nicely put together subscription for kids! You can tell that a lot of thought and care went into designing all of the materials & pen pal characters themselves. I would have absolutely loved getting something like this in the mail when I was little. Such a fun concept! 🙂
