Pop in a Box time!
If you haven’t heard, Pop in a Box is a subscription box that sends you a surprise selection of Funko POP! vinyl figures every month. When you sign up, you’ll be able to use their “Pop Tracker” to select which Pops you already own. This way, you’ll not only be guaranteed not to receive a figure that you already have, but it’s also a great way to easily keep track of your collection. Pop in a Box has hundreds of Pops available, with more being added all the time. To ensure that you don’t get a Pop that you don’t want, there’s an option to “thumbs up or thumbs down” each and every figure. Anything marked thumbs down will NEVER be sent to you (same goes for the Pops that you flagged as already in your collection). Subscribers also have a chance to win exclusive Pops every month!
Subscriptions start at $9.99/month for one pop (plus $4.99 shipping) and go up to $104/month for 12 pops ($8.67 per pop). There are also options for 2, 3, 6, and 8 item boxes.
This month I received a 1-Pop box, so…
Let’s see what’s in my April 2016 Pop in a Box!
I’m pretty sure that my other Pop in a Box shipments were sent within the US, but this one shipped from Europe and unfortunately got a bit banged up on the way. 🙁
A peek inside.
Despite the bubble wrap, there was still a little damage to the POP! box inside which was kind of a bummer. Especially since I collect them unopened. Ah well, things happen…
Back to the Future II Marty McFly #245 ($9.99) – I already have a Dr. Emmett Brown figure that I acquired last year thanks to another geek box, so I was happy to get this McFly to add to my collection. He’s sporting his signature red/orange vest and is strapped onto the iconic pink hover-board from Back to the Future II. Very cool!
Although I wasn’t too stoked about the damaged box, I’m still happy with the figure I received in this month’s Pop in a Box. I get that packages can get tossed around a bit during transit — especially with the lengthy journey that this one took. Marty doesn’t seem too phased by it, so it’s all good. 😉
