March 2018 PostBox by Postmark’d Studio review time!
If you haven’t heard, PostBox by Postmark’d Studio is a new subscription box that features artisanal greeting cards and postcards created by artists around the globe. Each box will include 4 greeting cards, 1 postcard, postage stamps, and a fun artsy item such as a pen, pencil, or knick-knack based on that month’s particular theme. The cards are all handcrafted by a variety of different artists/companies, which means you’ll get a nice sampling of unique designs to send to your friends and loved ones.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $30.95/month ($25 + $5.95 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can get $5 off your first box of a 3-month subscription and receive a FREE “Whalecome” Box with coupon code “2LRB1Free”!
Let’s see what’s in the March 2018 Postmark’d PostBox!
Everything was shipped in a small white box with a Postmark’d Studio logo on top.
A peek inside!
As always, the items were all neatly stacked together and secured with a pretty green ribbon. They even included a little mermaid-inspired pin!
A 2-sided info card revealed the theme for March’s PostBox — “Mer-mazing”! It also listed all of the cards included, along with the artists who made them.
The reverse side of the info card included information about the “Postcrossing Project”, which is an online platform that allows you to send and receive postcards from every corner of the globe.
Ahoy There Leafy Dumas/North Essex, UK
Speaking of postcards… I love the vintage feel of this mermaid design by UK-based artist, Leafy Dumas. The artwork is from Leafy’s gouache painting entitled ‘Tallulah’, which was inspired by sailer tattoos like those done by renowned tattoo artist Sailor Jerry. It’s printed on textured cream matte card and features round corners for a truly vintage look.
You’re Probably a Mermaid Pixies and Porcupines/Chicago, IL
Send your bestie a chuckle with this cheeky mermaid card. It reads: If your thighs touch and you drink like a fish you’re probably a mermaid. The letterpress card is printed on cotton paper and comes with a coordinating kraft envelope.
Oh Shell Yes Iloot Paperie/Pasadena, CA
Oooh — shiny! This shimmery card is perfect for congratulating someone on a job well done. It’s blank inside and is printed on premium white linen textured 100lb cardstock with beautiful green foil detailing.
Giraffe-Maid Fox & Crow/St. Pete Beach, FL
Uhhh… Well this one is a little… different. 😉 While not quite as majestic as your conventional mermaid, this “giraffe-maid” certainly has a charm of its own. The image is a digital print of an ink and gouache original by artist Evan Pullman Neidich.
Little Mermaid Halthegal/Greenville, SC
This colorful card features the quote “It looked as if all the stars of the heavens were falling down on top of her” — from Hans Christian Andersen’s The Little Mermaid. It comes with a kraft envelope that’s embellished with washi tape and a tiny hand-drawn blue star. Cute!
Magical Mermaid BoxBerry/Chicago, IL
There are millions of fish in the sea… but you are a magical mermaid. — Who wouldn’t love receiving such a sweet sentiment in the mail? This card was designed & printed in Chicago and comes with a brown paper envelope.
Pentel Slicci Extra Fine .25 Roller Pen
Get inspired to draw the most intricate mermaid tails with the help of this .25 mm green gel pen. It features smooth-flowing gel ink and a precise metal tip that allows for ornate detail work. Or, you know, just use it for writing notes. 😉
Postage
Enough postage was provided to mail five greeting cards and one postcard. Not quite mermaid themed, but close enough!
Postmark’d Studio Postcard & Pencil
As always, a thick/sturdy Postmark’d Studio postcard was also included, along with a coordinating pencil.
A beautiful collection of mermaid-themed cards from PostBox! My favorites would have to be the vintage-inspired postcard and the “shimmery” mermaid. So pretty! 🙂 — Remember, for a limited time you can get $5 off your first box of a 3-month subscription and receive a FREE “Whalecome” Box with coupon code “2LRB1Free”!
