Saffron is a newer subscription box that sends you a selection of artisan crafted bar soaps every month.
Each box will contain 2 to 5 soaps (depending on your plan), as well as an occasional bath accessory. All of Saffron’s soaps are handcrafted and free of sulfates and parabens. They’re also cruelty-free. In the coming months, additional products will be introduced including moisturizers, bath bombs, body scrubs, lip butters, and more.
Subscriptions are $13.99/month for the Essentials Box (2 soaps), $19.99 for the Premium Box (3 soaps), or $29.99 for the Family Box (5 soaps). Shipping is an additional $2.99. — You can save 20% on your first month of any plan with coupon code “ROSE20“.
Let’s see what’s in the December 2015 Saffron box!
The soaps were shipped in a small white box via first class mail.
A peek inside.
An info card included details about December’s featured soap and gave a spoiler for January’s box — a new body butter!
Bluefish Omega 3 Ginger Soap – This organic, all natural soap is infused with omega 3, which is said to help slow the effects of aging. The pretty blue bar also features a fresh ginger scent and can be used on both the face & body. The package doesn’t say where the omega 3 is derived from, but I’m guessing it’s fish oil based, given the name?
SoCal Valley Almond Soap – A sweetly scented soap made with plant-based oils and real almonds for exfoliation. It’s specially formulated for dry, irritated skin and packed with soothing Vitamin E. This smells good enough to eat and is definitely my favorite of the two.
Saffron is a nice box for anyone who enjoys trying out new natural soaps. The bars are nicely packaged, which you don’t see in many other soap subscription boxes. I’m looking forward to January’s body butter debut!

I wish they would put the ingredients of each soap on their website. I want to know if they use artificial fragrances or dyes.
