Scratch Monthly Mani Kit June 2015 Review

The Scratch Monthly Mani Kit is a new subscription that delivers fresh new nail wraps and accessories to your door every month.

You’ll get to choose from three exclusive artist-designed nail wrap sets, which will be accompanied by a couple extra nail-related goodies. Extras can include polish, tools, charms, and more.

Subscriptions are $10/month ($12.95 with shipping) and promise a $20+ value in each kit.

Everything was shipped inside a shiny gold bubble mailer.

Emoji Nail Wraps – Of the 3 design choices I was given, I decided to go with the most non-traditional one — emoji! This set consisted of 16 self-adhesive wraps that included a slice of pizza, a red heart, a taco, and (my personal favorite) a happy little turd. The wraps are actually screen-printed with 5-free polish inks so they go on smoothly and look just like real polish, not stickers.

ORLY Nail Laquer in “Thrill Seeker” – A cute mini polish in a shade that totally makes sense to use with the emoji wraps. Bold wraps need equally bold polish, right? “Thrill Seeker” is part of ORLY’s new summer collection and has a totally 80’s vibe.

Nail Dotting Tool – Okay, I had no clue what this was until I Googled it. I assumed it was some kind of nail tool (duh), so it wasn’t too hard to find photos of. Turns out it’s a double-sided dotting tool for nail art. Of course it is. (My husband pretended to stab me with it, so I suppose it could double as a weapon if you’re in a pinch and need to impale someone. 😉 )

While my nails are a little too short to have “fun” with these days, the Scratch Monthly Mani Kit was still a neat package to receive. The wraps alone sell for $12, so you definitely get your money’s worth when you include the other “extras”. I’m not quite sure if it adds up to the promised $20, but it’s still a decent deal. Besides, putting turds on your nails? Priceless.
