Let’s see what’s in the May 2016 SinglesSwag box!
Everything was shipped in a white box with a SinglesSwag sticker on the side.
A peek inside. I like the presentation, but I think they need to change the color of their logo/sticker. The “Swag” part is a bit hard to read against the black background.
Oooh! — Looks promising!
An info card listed all of the products in this month’s box, along with descriptions and retail prices for each one.
Soapgirl Grapefruit + Sea Salt Bar Soap ($7) – An all natural bar soap made with organic ingredients including coconut oil and shea fruit butter. It’s scented with pure essential grapefruit oil and smells soooo good. It was handcrafted in Dallas, Texas and is free of detergents, additives, and preservatives.
Me to We Soko Market Bracelet Set ($8) – These bracelets are so pretty! I’m not usually into gold-colored anything, but these beads are actually brass so I kinda like ’em. 🙂 They work really well with the purple, teal, and white beads. The bracelets are handmade in Kenya and for each one sold one month of clean water is provided to a child in need.
This is Why You’re Single by Laura Lane & Angela Spera ($16 retail, $14.48 Amazon) – This isn’t your typical bland self-help type book… It actually looks like a fun read. I skimmed through it and saw down-to-earth (uncensored) stories, advice, silly quizzes, graphs, etc. It definitely doesn’t have any sort of a “woe is me, I can’t find a man” vibe. 🙂
Ms. Betty’s Original Bad-Ass Whipped Body Butter ($10) – Mmm! I love whipped body butters and this one smells amazing! It’s handmade with natural ingredients and scented with “mimosa & mandarin”. So good!!
Living Royal “Break Up” Socks ($8) – Funky socks are always nice to get in subscription boxes… However, as a married woman I’m not sure “It’s not me, it’s you” socks are really something I could wear. 😉 Since this box is for singles, they’re a fun inclusion. Apparently Living Royal is worn by lots of celebrities and judging from all the unique designs on their site, I can see why.
NCLA Rose Rock Nail Wraps ($16) – These nail wraps feature a pretty pink marbled design and were included in Nylon Magazine’s 2015 Beauty Hit List.
The Crispery Crispycake Rainbow Nonpareils ($5) – A GIANT marshmallow rice treat covered in colorful rainbow nonpareils. Careful — one package has four servings!
A SinglesSwag magnet was also included to serve as a daily reminder to never settle for less than what you deserve.
While I’m no longer single, I can definitely see subscribing to SinglesSwag if I were. It’s a great “treat yo’self” box that would be fun to look forward to receiving every month. I like that they included so many products from smaller businesses as well as a few more established brands. The overall value was impressive too — just around $70 in products! — Remember, for a limited time, you can save 10% on your first month with coupon code “SINGLEANDHAPPY“!
