SnackSack is a subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month.
Every box will contain a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. Items can include chips, protein bars, fruit snacks, popcorn, nuts, chocolate bars, cookies, granola, and more. They offer 3 different box options: Classic, Vegan, and Gluten Free.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $22/month for the Classic box, or $24/month for the Vegan and Gluten Free options. All boxes ship free within the US ($9.99 to Canada) & discounts are available for multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 10% for LIFE (includes all future renewals) with coupon code “ROSE″!
Let’s see what’s in the April 2019 Vegan SnackSack!
As always, everything was shipped in their custom blue (turquoise?) & white Snack Sack box.
A peek inside!
A tri-fold info sheet listed all of the items included in each of the 3 available boxes (Classic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free) and gave brief descriptions of each product.
Barnana Brazilian Barbecue Plantain Chips
I love plantain chips and I love barbecue sauce… However, I can’t say that I’ve ever experienced them both together. I suppose now is my chance. 😉 These are gluten-free, non-GMO, organic, and of course — vegan-friendly.
Skratch Labs Anytime Energy Bar
This “slightly sweet” energy bar features a blend of chocolate chips, almond pieces, dried cranberries, cashew butter, coconut nectar, and other natural ingredients to help you power through your day. It’s made with 50% less sugar than traditional energy bars and is vegan, kosher, and gluten-free.
The GFB Chocolate + Peanut Butter Gluten Free Bar
You can’t go wrong with chocolate and peanut butter! This bar is made in small batches in a dedicated gluten-free facility and is loaded with 12 grams of protein and 4 grams of fiber. It’s non-GMO and free of both soy & dairy.
Laughing Giraffe Organics Chocolate Snakaroon
Snakaroons are tasty little treats made with raw, organic ingredients including unsweetened coconut, agave, cocao liquer, coconut, and Himalayan pink salt. I’ve gotten the lemon version in many different subscription boxes, but this is the first time seeing chocolate. Yum!
Lebby Dark Chocolate Chickpea Snacks
When I first saw this package, I thought these were some sort of malted “milk” balls and got really excited. Needless to say, I was a little shocked (disappointed?) to see they were actually chocolate-covered chickpeas. But hey, they’re healthier this way. 😉 — The package states that they have 46% less fat than peanuts and 3 grams of both fiber & protein per serving. [UPDATE: I just tried some and they’re freakin’ delicious! You’d never know they were made with roasted chickpeas. 😀 ]
Nature’s Bakery Peach Apricot Fig Bar
My daughters both LOVE these fig bars and have been eating them almost daily for at least a year now. They’re made with ancient grains including teff & amaranth and they’re also free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. I think this is the first time we’ve gotten this peach apricot flavor, so I’m curious to see if they’ll like it as much as their usual strawberry & blueberry ones.
Sheffa Cran-Raspberry Dark Chocolate Granola Bar
A gluten-free & vegan-friendly granola bar made with non-GMO ingredients including certified gluten free oats, dark chocolate, puffed brown rice, dried cranberries, pea protein, real raspberry extract, and more.
Modern Oats Apple Cinnamon Ginger Premium Oatmeal
A hearty, gluten-free instant oatmeal cup featuring whole grain oats (gluten-free), apples, cinnamon, and ginger. It has 5 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and just 9 grams of sugar per serving.
The Snack Brigade Sizzlin’ Sriracha Incredi Puffs
These baked snack puffs are made with all natural ingredients and have 30% less fat than traditional potato chips. They’re also gluten-free, peanut-free, non-GMO, and have just 100 calories per serving/bag.
PopCorners Kettle Corn Popped Corn Snack
These popped (NOT fried) corn corn snacks are made with 4 simple ingredients: yellow corn, sunflower oil, cane sugar, and sea salt. They’re non-GMO, vegan, gluten-free, and contain no artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives. Plus, one bag has only 60 calories!
Annie’s Homegrown Organic Bunny Fruit Snacks
My girls love these Annie’s fruit snacks! We buy them often to include in their lunch boxes and they can’t get enough of ’em. What I love is that they’re gelatin-free, organic, and made without any artificial flavors, colors, or preservatives.
SnackSack continues to be my most anticipated snack subscription of the month! My favorites this time were the (surprisingly delicious) Lebby Dark Chocolate Chickpea Snacks, GFB Bar, Nature’s Bakery Fig Bar, Snakaroon, and Annie’s Fruit Snacks. 🙂 — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
