March 2018 SnackSack review time!
If you haven’t heard, SnackSack is a subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month. Every box will contain a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. They also have an all-vegan box option, as well as one that’s entirely gluten-free.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $22/month for the Classic box, or $24/month for the Vegan and Gluten Free options. All boxes ship free within the US ($9.99 to Canada) & discounts are available for multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 10% for LIFE (includes all future renewals) with coupon code “ROSE″!
Let’s see what’s in the March 2018 Vegan SnackSack!
Everything was shipped in their signature white and green box with the “sack” logo on top.
A peek inside!
A full-color info sheet listed everything inside, along with helpful symbols next to each one indicating whether it’s vegan, gluten-free, organic, and/or non-GMO.
Artisan Tropic Plantain Strips
A sweet, crunchy snack made with hand selected Colombian plantains. These are cooked in sustainable, non-hydrogenated palm oil and are both gluten-free & vegan friendly. Yum!
Popchips Nutter Puffs
I received these in another snack subscription box this month and was an instant fan. Needless to say, I was happy to see them again. 🙂 They’re made with only 3 ingredients: peanut butter, yellow corn, and peanut flour and each bag has just 130 calories & 5 grams of protein. Plus, they’re vegan friendly & gluten-free.
Frooze Balls Dark Forest Energy Balls
These 100% plant-based energy balls are made with clean, simple ingredients including raw dates, cacao, raisins, sunflower seeds, coconut, cherries, and peanuts. They’re certified non-GMO, gluten free, and vegan-friendly. Can’t wait to try ’em!
Chinook Seedery Dill Pickle Sunflower Seeds
Non-GMO certified, small batch sunflower seeds flavored with spices including white pepper, black pepper, dill weed, and sea salt. I don’t typically snack on sunflower seeds, so this will likely end up being a “dad snack”. 😉
Good Karma Chocolate Flaxmilk
I love trying new plant-based milk alternatives, so I was happy to see this chocolate flax milk in the box. Not only is it packed with 10 grams of plant protein & 1500 mg of omega-3, but it also has 50% less sugar than dairy milk. Nice!
Big Slice Luxe Kettle Cooked Apples
These were popular in subscription boxes a couple years ago and I’m happy to see they’ve made a comeback. They’re real, kettle cooked apple slices & chunks infused with natural French toast flavor. Just rip open the pouch, grab a fork, and snack away.
Lundberg Grounded Pink Himalayan Salt Tortilla Chips
These whole grain tortilla chips are made with red rice and quinoa, giving them an extra satisfying crunch. I’ve gotten them in a past SnackSack and thoroughly enjoyed ’em.
Vegetarian Traveler Tri-Soy Medley
A toasted soybean blend that allows you to easily add 16 grams of protein and 7 grams of fiber to any meal you choose. Add it to pasta, soup, salads, entrees, or eat them alone as a filling snack.
Tea Squares Vanilla Chai Energy Snack
Oven-baked energy bites made with puffed millet, almonds, pumpkin seeds, natural vanilla chai flavor, black tea powder, and more. Each serving has the same amount of caffeine as 1/2 cup of coffee (30 mg).
Tru Women You’re Mocha Me Cocoa Protein Powder
This 100% plant-based protein powder is made with pure ingredients including pea protein, cocoa powder, flaxseed, and natural mocha flavor. One serving contains just 90 calories, 15 grams of protein, 5 grams of fiber, and only 1 gram of sugar.
The GFB Coconut Cashew Crunch Gluten Free Bar
A 100% gluten-free, vegan friendly snack bar made with non-GMO ingredients including toasted cashews, pea protein, organic agave nectar, toasted coconut, organic dates, golden flaxseed, and more. One bar contains an impressive 11 grams of protein, as well as 3 grams of fiber.
While March’s SnackSack box did have a few items I wasn’t crazy about (I’m lookin’ at you, tri-soy medley & sunflower seeds), the majority of the snacks were right up my alley. My favorites this time were the Frooze Balls, Plantain Strips, Nutter Puffs, Big Slice apples, and Grounded tortilla chips. 🙂 — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
