May SnackSack time!
If you haven’t heard, SnackSack is a relatively new subscription box that focuses on delivering natural, “junk-free” snacks to your door every month. All of the snacks included will be free of “artificial junk” and offer a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. They’ll all be tucked inside a reusable burlap sack, which is shipped in a large box for ultimate snack protection.
Subscriptions are $24.95/month with free shipping. Discounts are also available for multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 10% on your first box with coupon code “ROSE10″!
Let’s see what’s in the May 2016 SnackSack!
The box!
A peek inside. Hmm… What’s that peeking out beneath the pasta chips?
The sack is back! Since it was MIA in last month’s box, I assumed it was gone for good. But nope, the sack has returned!
The information card listed everything inside, along with helpful symbols next to each one indicating whether it’s vegan, gluten-free, and/or non-GMO.
Vintage Italia Sea Salt Pasta Chips – I’ve gotten these in a LOT of subscription boxes and they’re finally starting to grow on me. These crunchy baked snacks are made with semolina flour and have 60% less fat than regular chips.
Chic-a-Peas Sea Salt Baked Crunchy Chickpeas – A healthy dried chickpea snack that offers a good source of protein & fiber at just 110 calories per serving.
Ona Peanut Butter Cookies – I believe we received a different flavor of these paleo-friendly cookies in a past SnackSack box. They’re all natural & free of dairy, soy, gluten, and grains. Instead of sugar, they’re sweetened with local raw honey.
Cabo Chips Blue Corn Tortilla Chips – Whole grain tortilla chips made with blue corn, rice bran oil, sea salt, and lime juice. These are non-GMO, gluten-free, and vegan-friendly.
Raw Rev Glo Dark Chocolate Espresso Crunch Bar – I’ve gotten a lot of these bars in subscription boxes, but I think this is my first chocolate espresso flavored one. All Raw Rev bars are 100% vegan and packed with protein. They taste good too! 😉
Barney Butter Crunchy Almond Butter – These single-serve nut butter packets are always nice to have on hand. They’re the perfect size for adding an extra boost of protein (and creaminess) to my fruit smoothies.
Olympos Pitted Green Olives – These pitted green olives are covered in herbs for a flavorful, healthy snack.
One Potato Two Potato Hawaiian BBQ Kettle Potato Chips – I love kettle chips and I love BBQ flavor, so these chips are a total win for me! They’re made with non-GMO ingredients and are vegan & gluten-free.
Laughing Giraffe Organics Snackaroons – Ooh! I’ve had these macaroons a few times and they’re SO good. They’re made with raw, organic ingredients and are gluten-free & vegan-friendly. Subscribers received both lemon and vanilla flavor.
Munk Pack Raspberry Coconut Oatmeal Fruit Squeeze – Okay, this is one item that I’m a bit tired of seeing in snack boxes. Mainly because I don’t really like it. 😉 It’s super good for you and packed with healthy ingredients, but I just can’t get past the texture. Ah well.
Fru-Licious Fruit & Cream Smoothie Pops – Two flavors of these fruit smoothie “ice” pops were included — strawberry & banana. They’re made with real fruit juice & puree.
As always, a variety of coupons were also included — most notably one for a FREE full sized bag of Pasta Chips!
SnackSack continues to be one of my favorite snack subscriptions. They always have such a great mix of different snacks — many which happen to be vegan-friendly. 🙂
