Every box will contain a mixture of all natural, vegan, organic, non-GMO, gluten-free, and fair trade products. Items can include chips, protein bars, fruit snacks, popcorn, nuts, chocolate bars, cookies, granola, and more. They offer 3 different box options: Classic, Vegan, and Gluten Free.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $22/month for the Classic box, or $24/month for the Vegan and Gluten Free options. All boxes ship free within the US ($9.99 to Canada) & discounts are available for multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 10% for LIFE (includes all future renewals) with coupon code “ROSE″!
Let’s see what’s in the May 2019 Vegan SnackSack!
As always, everything was shipped in their custom blue (turquoise?) & white Snack Sack box.
A peek inside!
A tri-fold info sheet listed all of the items included in each of the 3 available boxes (Classic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free) and gave brief descriptions of each product.
Vegan Rob’s Probiotic Cauliflower Puffs
I believe I’ve had these once before and I believe they were awesome. Basically, anything made by Vegan Rob’s is awesome. F’real… Don’t let their sometimes odd-sounding flavors scare you away or you’ll be missing out on some crunchy & flavorful puffs of tasty goodness. 🙂
Lärabar in Apple Pie
I used to be allll about Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavored Lärabars. I stopped buying them due to their high (naturally derived) sugar content, but I’m more than willing to give this Apple Pie flavor a try. It’s made with just 6 simple ingredients: dates, almonds, unsweetened apples, walnuts, raisins, and cinnamon.
The GFB Dark Chocolate + Peanut Butter Gluten Free Bites
I’ve gotten these in a couple other subscription boxes and instantly became a fan. They’re little truffle-like bites made with wholesome ingredients including dry roasted peanuts, organic dates, dark chocolate, flaxseed and more. Not only are they gluten-free, but soy-free and (obviously) vegan-friendly as well.
NuGo Double Chocolate Protein Cookie
I’ve been enjoying a NuGo Slim Vegan Crunchy Peanut Butter protein bar for breakfast every day for nearly a year now (when I find something I like, I stick with it!). That said, I was very curious to try out this new cookie and see how it stacks up against the bar. First, it looked nothing like the picture on the label. It was all kind of one single color (brown) and looked more like a brownie than an actual cookie. Taste-wise, it wasn’t bad, but again it was more brownie-like in texture. I’d definitely eat one again, but wouldn’t choose it over the bars.
Gluck Jalapeño Veggie Sticks
My husband and I were just talking about those old school greasy potato stick snacks that were sold in a can back in the day, so it’s cool to see them return in this much healthier form. These crunchy veggie sticks are made with all natural ingredients including potato flour, spinach powder, jalapeño powder, green bell pepper, dry vinegar, and paprika extract. They’re both gluten-free & vegan-friendly.
Bobo’s Almond Butter Oat Bar
I LOVE Bobo’s Oat Bars! They’re super filling and super delicious. Ingredients include organic gluten-free whole grain rolled oats, almonds, organic coconut oil, organic cane sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. An ideal mid-afternoon treat to give you a boost of energy.
Enjoy Life Caramel Blondie Chewy Bar
This little soft baked “chewy bar” features a blend of chocolate, dairy-free caramel, and gluten-free flours — making it suitable for most common food allergies. It’s also vegan, kosher, non-GMO and produced in a dedicated nut and gluten free facility.
Popchips Himalayan Salt Yes Peas Popped Pea Chips
These crispy snack chips are made with just 3 simple ingredients: whole green & yellow peas, sunflower and/or safflower oil, and Himalayan salt. Each serving has only 110 calories and 6 grams of plant-based protein.
Vive Chocolate Peanut Butter Soft Baked Granola Bites
When I opened this package I was expecting to find crunchy little granola bites (I didn’t notice the “soft baked” part)… What I got instead were bite-sized morsels of melt-in-your-mouth peanut buttery goodness. Needless to say, I wish I had more.
Nature’s Bakery Blueberry Gluten Free Fig Bar
I know I say it all the time, but my daughters both LOVE these fig bars. They’re made with ancient grains including teff & amaranth and they’re also free of high fructose corn syrup, artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives. Both gluten-free and whole wheat versions are available.
Rule Breaker Birthday Cake Blondie
I’ve saved (what I hope is) the best for last! I’ve seen these Rule Breaker snacks at our local 100% vegan grocery store — aptly named The Vegan Grocery Store — and have always been tempted to buy one, but never pulled the trigger. This Birthday Cake flavored blondie is free of the top 8 allergens and looks absolutely delicious (sprinkles!!). It will be gone very shortly. 😉
I think it’s safe to say that this was one of my all-time favorite SnackSack offerings to date! It was chock full of vegan-friendly cookies, blondies, bars, puffs, and more. Nothing but winners this month! 😀 — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
