Subscriptions are $22/month for the Classic box, or $24/month for the Vegan and Gluten Free options. All boxes ship free within the US ($9.99 to Canada) & discounts are available for multi-month plans. — For a limited time, you can save 10% for LIFE (includes all future renewals) with coupon code “ROSE″!
Let’s see what’s in the October 2019 Vegan SnackSack!
As always, everything was shipped in their custom blue (turquoise?) & white SnackSack box.
A peek inside!
A tri-fold info sheet listed all of the items included in each of the 3 available boxes (Classic, Vegan, and Gluten-Free) and gave brief descriptions of each product.
Vegan Rob’s Cheddar Puffs
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — Vegan Rob’s has yet to release a product I didn’t love. They offer a wide variety of uniquely flavored puffs, chips, and other vegan-friendly snacks & they’re ALL delicious. These plant-based “cheese” puffs are made with all natural ingredients including organic whole grain sorghum flour, organic sunflower oil, sea salt, and onion powder. They’re also gluten-free and contain no trans fat, sugar, or GMO ingredients.
Artisan Tropic Plantain Strips
A sweet, crunchy snack made with hand selected Colombian plantains. These are cooked in sustainable, non-hydrogenated palm oil and are both gluten-free & vegan friendly. I never think to buy these on my own, so I’m always happy when they pop up in subscription boxes. 🙂
Bjorn Qorn Savory Sun-Popped Corn
This savory, solar-popped popcorn is made in small batches using non-GMO corn. The addition of nutritional yeast gives it a boost of both flavor and B vitamins. Yum!
Strawberry Peazy Bar
I’ve had plenty of chickpea-based snacks before, but never in bar form. This strawberry flavored Peazy bar is made with just 6 ingredients: roasted chickpeas, dates, chia seeds, dried strawberries, vanilla extract, and sea salt. It’s vegan, gluten-free, nut-free, and contains no added sugar or preservatives.
Nature’s Bakery Double Chocolate Brownie
My kids eat Nature’s Bakery fig bars on an almost daily basis, so I’m very familiar with this brand. While the fig bars are good and all, I am SO into these brownies. Not only are they dense and fudgy, but they’re also made with wholesome ingredients including dates and whole grains. SO good!
Lake Champlain Quinoa & Dark Chocolate Snack Bites
I love when the weather gets cooler and snack boxes start sending an increased amount of chocolate products. 😉 These crunchy little “snack bites” are comprised of smooth dark chocolate blended with toasted quinoa crunches. I personally find dark chocolate to be a little boring on its own, so the crispy quinoa gave it the perfect amount of crunch/texture that I crave.
Ekoa Pure Mango/Banana Dried Fruit Bars
If you can’t have fresh fruit, these bars are the next best thing. The mango bar is made with only two ingredients (dates & dried mango), while the banana version contains just one (dried banana). Both contain no added coloring, flavors, or anything artificial. Just 100% natural goodness.
Bobo’s Apple Pie Oat Bar
I LOVE Bobo’s Oat Bars! They’re super filling and super delicious. Ingredients include organic gluten-free whole grain rolled oats, organic coconut oil, organic dried apples, organic cane sugar, salt, and organic ground cinnamon. It does have more calories/fat than I would like (one serving is 1/2 a bar), but it’s a nice once-in-while treat.
Bakery on Main Sprouted Maple Quinoa Happy Granola
Can you really go wrong with something called “Happy” Granola? I think not. This autumn-friendly blend features a crunchy mix of organic gluten free oats, sprouted millet, brown rice, sprouted quinoa, maple syrup, and other natural ingredients. Mmm!
North Coast Fruit + Veggie Applesauce
I usually pack applesauce pouches in my daughters’ lunchboxes, but I’m not sure they’d be down with one that also contains veggies (they’re SUPER picky). That said, I’ll be happy to try this out myself. It consists of organic apples & purees of blueberries, spinach, and kale.
Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities
Yay, Chewie Fruities! These are basically like Starburst, but without all the artificial flavors & colors. Not only are they all natural and organic, but they’re also vegan-friendly, nut-free, and gluten-free. I just wish there were more than two pieces in that little bag. 😉
October’s vegan SnackSack box was jam-packed with salty snacks & sweet treats! My personal favorites were the Vegan Rob’s Cheese Puffs, Artisan Tropic Plantain Strips, Nature’s Bakery Brownie, Lake Champlain Snack Bites, Bobo’s Oat Bar, Bakery on Main Granola, and Torie & Howard Chewie Fruities. So many winners this month! 😀 — Remember, if you’d like to try out SnackSack for yourself, you can save 10% for LIFE with coupon code “ROSE″!
