Misfits Market is an online grocer “dedicated to making affordable, high-quality food more accessible while helping break the cycle of food waste”.
To achieve their mission, they work directly with farmers and food producers to source organic produce, meats, seafood, plant-based proteins, dairy products, sustainably sourced pantry staples, wine, and other groceries that might otherwise go to waste — and deliver them to you at up to 40% off typical grocery store prices.
Misfits Market helps you save money on your groceries by offering:
- Fruits and veggies that are too big, too small, or just sort of “funny-looking”
- Surplus produce
- Items with out-of-date packaging (but still perfectly fresh)
- Items stamped with a “best-by” date that’s fewer than 6 weeks out
- Items from brands with excess inventory
You can choose to enroll in their weekly grocery plan, where they automatically fill your cart with a selection of high-quality grocery items curated just for you. — Or you can opt to completely customize your weekly order by choosing from hundreds of different grocery essentials from seasonal produce, high quality meats/seafood, plant-based meat alternatives, and a wide range of name brand pantry essentials. Just make sure to stay above your order minimum to make sure your order ships. (Order minimums vary by delivery area. I’m in western New York and my minimum was $35.)
Your order will be automatically charged after your shopping window ends and delivered right to your home within 2-3 days. A flat shipping fee will be added based on your zip code (starting at $6.99).

Misfits Market January 2023 Review
I was very pleased with my first Misfits Market experience. I wasn’t sure how much I would be able to order with my $60 credit, but was pleasantly surprised by all of the great prices. There were many items that were considerably less than I would pay at my local grocery store — all great name brands too! I was also impressed at how fresh the produce was upon arrival. That was another thing I was a little leery about, but the lettuce couldn’t have been crisper. Oh, and the shipping was very reasonable as well, at only $7.99 for my entire order. Wins all around!
