Moxie Box is a new subscription box that focuses on nurturing yourself and empowering you to be your best and to tap into what makes you feel confident and whole.
Each box will be based around a different theme and contain 5 or more different items pertaining to that theme. Many of the products will be locally or globally sourced items that help to give back in some way. Items can include jewelry, home goods, skincare, decor, stationery/notebooks, bath products, and more.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $45.95/month or less with multi-month commitments. Shipping will vary from month to month based on the weight of each box.
Let’s see what’s in the December 2017 Moxie Box!
Everything was shipped in a silver box with a Moxie logo sticker (and ribbon!) on top.
A peek inside!
An info card listed all of the items in the box, along with brief descriptions for each one.
Grey & Pink Scarf
This incredibly soft scarf features a grey, white, and pink plaid design with delicate fringe edges. Its triangular shape allows it to be worn in a variety of ways to keep you warm and cozy in these cooler winter months.
SammySoap Blue Oat Lavender Jojoba Soap
Sammysoap provides fair wages for their disabled workers and high quality, artisan-made products for their customers. This 100% natural lavender oat bar was handmade with the help of adults with intellectual disabilities and is moisturizing, exfoliating, and soothing — perfect for dry winter skin. It smells great and I’m looking forward to using it. 🙂
Oversized Moxie Mug
This teal colored, oversized mug features the Moxie Box logo along with their inspirational tagline, “I’ve got this”. The mug holds 16 ounces of your favorite beverage and is both microwave & dishwasher safe.
Teas
Two samples of tea were included with the mug. — Twinings Blackcurrant Breeze black tea and Numi Jasmine Green organic tea. I’m not a huge fan of black teas, but I LOVE jasmine green!
Silicone Snail Teabag Holder
Ahh! This lil’ guy is too cute! — Just slip him onto the rim of your mug and wrap your teabag’s string around his shell to keep it from falling into your cup. I’ve been using this since I got it and it really does do the job. (It also doesn’t hurt that it’s freakin’ adorable too!)
Winter Zen Lotus Charm Stone Necklace/Bracelet
This pretty necklace/bracelet is made of sea-colored stones, silver accents, and a round lotus pendant. It can be worn as a necklace or looped around your wrist as a layered bracelet. Such gorgeous colors!
Moxie Journal & Pen
While not exactly the fanciest notebook/journal, I already know exactly what I’m going to use this for. If you choose to use it for its intended purpose (a journal), Moxie Box included a list of handy journal prompts to get you started.
Fox Socks
These adorable “fox socks” weren’t listed on the info card, so they were a nice surprise. While a more winter-appropriate (longer) pair would have made more sense, I’m still happy to save these for the warmer temps.
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this debut Moxie Box, but overall I was pleased with its contents. There were plenty of useful items with my favorites being the handcrafted soap, cozy scarf, lotus charm necklace/bracelet, and silicone snail teabag holder. I would have liked to have seen less Moxie-branded products though, as I feel that kind of cheapens the value and makes it feel more like a promo item. Hopefully they keep that in mind for future boxes. 🙂
