Sudsy Box is a new subscription box that sends you 3 full-sized handmade bars of soap every other month. They also include a little extra “surprise gift” in every box (lip balm, bath salts, etc.). Awesome!
The soaps are all natural and handmade by Heidi’s Artisan Soap. They’re vegan, gluten-free and contain zero artificial colors or fragrances. Each box highlights the scents of the particular season in which it’s shipped. (You can see my Spring Edition review here.)
Sudsy Box is just $20 every other month — shipping included!
After falling in love with their debut Spring box, I was super excited to see what the Summer box would bring… Let’s have a look!
First look. Once again, everything was neatly packed and the yummy scents were released as soon as I opened the box. Mmm.
The info card listed each bar’s scent and highlighted the beneficial ingredients that make each bar unique. Bonus: The paper (on the info card, as well as each bar) is embedded with seeds which can be planted to grow a collection of wildflowers!
Since I wanted to keep the bars “fresh” and pretty until I use them, I didn’t open them up for this review. BUT — I did include links to their photos on the Sudsy Box site where you can view them in all their beautiful, “naked” glory. 😉 Just click the links in their names or right on the corresponding photos.
Summer Days – This is basically summer in bar form. It’s an olive/coconut oil, shea butter based soap infused with citronella and lime oil. Yep, citronella as in the bug repellent. But don’t worry — it totally won’t make you smell like a walking citronella candle. (Well, I don’t think, anyway.) Hell, even if it does, I’m absolutely fine with that… Bugs be GONE!
Honey Almond Oatmeal – Keep this one far away from little ones, cos they’ll prolly wanna eat it. Yep, it smells that good. It’s got organic oats, honey, and almond oils to nourish and moisturize your skin. Technically, it’s not 100% vegan (because of the honey), but I’m pretty lax on the whole honey thing so I’ll most definitely be using this block of yumminess.
Lemon Delight – I think this is my favorite bar of the bunch. I loooove lemongrass, which this is infused with, so it was an automatic (and aromatic!) win for me. It also contains French green clay to help draw out impurities in the skin. This gives the soap a really pretty, swirled look. (Click the link or photo above to check it out!)
Uplifting Dead Sea Bath Salt – This is the little “bonus” for the Summer box. I’m a big fan of bath products, so this was nice to receive. (I have a zillion lip balms.) These are made with Dead Sea salt, Eucalyptus & Spearmint essential oils, and dendritic salt.
Once again, I’m totally impressed with Sudsy Box. Sure, it helps that I’m already a big fan of handcrafted bar soaps, but I think almost anyone in need of a little pampering would enjoy this box. The soaps are beautiful, all natural, and clearly made with love. 😉
If you’d like to check out Sudsy Box for yourself, you can get the Summer box (if you order by June 15) for 20% off when you enter “SUMMER20” at checkout!
