Sweet Pea Box is a monthly subscription for baby/kid’s clothes (sizes newborn to 8). Each month they send you a selection of clothing based on profile info you provide, such as your child’s gender, size, color preferences, style (hipster, princess, athletic, etc). You can also include any additional information to help them choose the perfect outfits for your little fashionistas.
Brands will vary, but you may receive pieces from Childrens Place, Osh Kosh, Old Navy, Carters, Gymboree, Sage Creek Organics, Kate Quinn Organics, Violet + Moss, Tea Collection, and more! Boxes are priced based on how many pieces you’d like per month: 4 items is $30, 6 items is $40, and 8 items is $50. Pieces include pants, tops, pj’s, jackets, onesies, dresses, and skirts.
Sweet Pea Box was kind enough to send me a 6-item box for review. The information I provided them was the girls’ size, style (hipster, pastel, & girly), and that they were free to send items one size up as well as their current 12 month size.
Alright, let’s see what they sent!
The first items I took out were a Poof! Girl striped top and matching pink leggings. This set is 12 months, which is what the girls are right now. They fit perfectly and looked super cute. I’ve never heard of Poof Girl, and Google wasn’t much help. However, I really don’t know too much about kid’s clothing lines/brands, so for all I know this is a sought-after line. Either way, it’s a cute outfit and perfect for the upcoming (hopefully) cooler weather.
This is a cute, flow-y dress from Violet + Moss. (I’ll admit, I didn’t know of them until I Googled the name. I told you I don’t know crapola about kid’s clothes!) Violet + Moss is a kid’s line that specializes in high quality, 100% organic cotton clothing. I liked the autumnal colors of this dress and the fact that it’s sized up to 18 months. My husband wasn’t a fan because he said it made Chloe look like “a little hippie”, but I think that’s what I like about it… It’s not something we’d ordinarily buy. It’s fun to try new looks… Men. Pfft.
Here’s another Violet + Moss piece. I’m honestly not too sure of what it is exactly… Sweater? Dress? Tunic? At first I thought dress, since the other Violet + Moss piece was clearly a dress… But when I put it on Everly it seemed pretty short and un-dress-like. So I’m guessing long sweater(?). Whatever it is, it’s cute and made with 100% organic cotton. As you can see in the photo, we’ll definitely be utilizing some leggings next time.
This is a simple little tank & shorts set from Cutie Pie. Again, I’ve never heard of the brand, but that means a whole lotta nothing. This was my least favorite outfit, mainly because I’m not a fan of animal print (but Sweet Pea had no idea of knowing that). It’s also 18 months, so I’m hoping they’ll still be able to fit into it next spring.
Overall, I was very pleased with what I received in my Sweet Pea Box. I didn’t include the values of the items because I wasn’t able to find them easily. However for $40, I’d say it was worth it. The Violet + Moss pieces alone would probably cost that much.
Wanna score some awesome deals? (Of course you do!) Sweet Pea Box is having a big pre-Labor Day sale on their Facebook page this weekend (Sat. Aug. 24 at noon thru Sun. Aug. 25 at midnight EST)! Don’t miss it!

I have wanted to try a Sweet Pea Box for my 19 mo daughter. I have to agree with your husband on the hippie outfit. I love Kate quinn V+M, but not everything is gold.
Wendy Rose

I would get this for the baby boy I’m expecting in December. Judging by the strong kicks I’ve been feeling lately, I’m guessing this budding martial artist-in-training style will be athletic.

I’d order for my daughter, probably about size 3T, and I’d say she’s girly, hipster, artistic but most of all worldly.

I currently suscribe to Sweet Pea and I don’t mean to be a negative Nelly, but I’ve received two “boxes” which arre actually plain white mailers. Neither came in the packaging as shown in the photos above, I’m guessing because I wasn’t doing a blog review in hopes of drumming up more customers. My first “box” was great. Loved it all. The second “box” that I received yesterday did not follow a single request that I had (I asked for matching pieces, no dresses, and items for cooler weather. All the shirts were tank tops or capsleeves and the shorts super short, and a summer dress and also a skirt were included. To their credit, after I emailed them, they are issuing a credit to my account once they receive the items back (at my shipping expense) and I’ll then receive my September box which will hopefully follow my profile notes. Also, I live in Central PA and I don’t receive my box until between the 20th & 22nd of the month and the billing takes place on the 1st of the month with shipping never taking place until the 15th.

Thanks for sharing your experience. Since this is my first box, I really don’t know what to say. I was pleased with what I received and customer service was great. Looks like something definitely went wrong with your last “box”, and it’s good to see that they offered to credit your account. But yeah, if it was truly their mistake, I’d want them to reimburse for return shipping as well. As for the billing/shipping dates, I’ve noticed this happens with a lot of subscriptions. Citrus Lane is one that comes to mind right away. They charge around the 1st and I don’t get my box until the 20th-22nd. I’m not saying it’s cool, just that it seems to be a common practice. I hope your September box is better! 🙂

Sweet Pea Box is the only good subscription box out there for babes!
Wow that first post is HARSH! Please don’t tell me she’s trying to win a free box on here. I just got my first box in the mail and my experience is COMPLETELY THE OPPOSITE. I must say that she has a long list of requests, to the point if I were her I would go to a store and not use a subscription service.
I have tried Wittlebee, citrus lane, cotton booty, and bluum. I didn’t like any of them.
Wendy Rose
Yeah, I guess sub boxes aren’t for everyone… I’ll just leave it at that. haha 😉

.My experience with Sweet Pea Box is COMPLETELY the opposite. I am amazed at the great stuff I got. I bought the 8pc big box and ordered when the other boxes went out and I still got some Gymboree, Kate Quinn, Childrens Place etc (I’ve tried Wittlebee-Citrus Lane- and Bluum for my 8m old and wasn’t thrilled) Such a long list of requests too..I hope that first poster didn’t enter this?!

I would order this box for my brother and sister in law who are expecting a baby girl in January. I would probably give it as a gift for their baby shower. Who doesn’t love the gift that keeps on giving and mailcall!
Jennifer Pittman
I would order for my son, he is more of a classic boy – cars, planes, boats… Loves it!

I would order the box for my 10 month old. Most of her stuff is hand me downs from her big sister so it would be nice for her to have some cute NEW clothes of her own! Right now I dress her super girly because I was against all things girly with my oldest. 🙂
