June Terra Bella Box review time!
If you’re not aware, Terra Bella Box is a subscription box that focuses on all natural beauty and skin care. They’ve previously included a mix of products for face, body, bath, and hair… However, starting in July there will be some changes. — A new box will be available which will feature only makeup items. It’ll be called the Makeup Edit box and will contain at least 3 items per month and will cost $29.95, including free shipping within the US.
Also starting in July, they’ll be reducing the number of items in their regular Terra Bella Box from 5-6 items per month to 3-4 items per month. The box will now cost $32.95 per month, which includes free shipping in the U.S. and flat rate shipping to Canada and Australia, and actual shipping costs for the rest of the world. This box will contain skincare, body care, hair, and bath items. (Note: July is a transition month and will still contain a variety of these items AND makeup items–the true separation will occur in August.) Subscribers can switch between the two boxes any time they like (as long as they switch before the cutoff window — usually the 20th of the month.) You can still skip a month any time you like.
Whether you choose the regular Terra Bella Box or the new Makeup Edit box, new subscribers can get a FREE bonus item in their first box with coupon code “2LREXTRA“.
Okay, now let’s see what’s in the June 2016 Terra Bella Box!
As always, the box featured a green leaf design on the outside and dark green tissue paper surrounding the items inside.
The 2-sided info card listed every product in the June box, along with descriptions and retail prices for each one.
The Merry Apothecary Brightening Mineral Veil ($7) – An all natural, vegan-friendly finishing powder made with just 3 simple ingredients: arrow root powder, ginger powder, and orange essential oil. Use it alone or with your normal makeup routine to brighten and even out your complexion. Just apply it lightly with a makeup brush and you’re good to go.
Mann-Made Sunscreen Stick ($12) – This 100% natural, handmade sunscreen stick is a great alternative to chemical-laden commercial brands. It’s made with organic coconut oil, shea butter, non-nano zinc oxide, sweet almond oil, and other safe ingredients that help protect against harmful UV rays.
Dermadeli Invigorating Vitamin C Serum ($28.99) – Unlike most similar products, this Vitamin C serum is produced when your order is received and shipped right away. It doesn’t sit on a shelf for months until it’s purchased. For this reason, it’s recommended that you keep it refrigerated to ensure its freshness and potency. The antioxidant and repair qualities of Vitamin C help to repair skin from UV damage, decrease wrinkles, and improve skin’s elasticity.
Formulary 55 Summer Solstice Sparkling Bath Tablet ($6) – I can never have enough bath bombs/tablets or shower steamers. Never. This “summer solstice” bath tablet is made with non-GMO cornstarch, ground dead sea salts, and a blend of pure essential oils. I’m not sure when I’ll actually get to use this, being that it already hit 90 degrees today (ugh), but I’m looking forward to it. 🙂
River’s Bend Botanicals Refreshing Peppermint Dusting Powder ($7) – Now this is something that I can most definitely use in this 90-degree weather. — A talc-free dusting powder that’s made with arrowroot powder, cornstarch, ground peppermint leaves, and peppermint essential oil. I already sprinkled a bit on after showering earlier and I think I’ll do as the info card suggests & put a little on my sheets before bed too.
So many great items in this month’s Terra Bella Box! My favorite is the peppermint dusting powder (awesome for this sticky summer weather), though I’m excited to try the bath tablet, brightening powder, and handmade sunscreen too. 🙂 The total retail value for June’s box was just over $60! — Remember, if you’d like to sign up for Terra Bella Box, new subscribers can get a FREE bonus item in their first box with coupon code “2LREXTRA“!
