TinselBox is a newer subscription box that sends you a collection of unique holiday and seasonally themed items every month.
Each box will feature fun and festive items for the upcoming month’s holiday (so you can plan in advance!). Subscribers can expect to receive high quality items that are often handmade and/or from various parts of the world. While you can sometimes find cute holiday items at the dollar store, those are NOT the kind of products you’ll see in your TinselBox. Think fun, whimsical, beautifully made home decor pieces and celebratory items worth… celebrating. 😉
Subscriptions are $19.99/month for the small box (“Spontaneous Box of Joy”) and $39.99 for the larger box (“Box of Cheerful Creations”). For a limited time, you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “Tinselbox5“.
Let’s see what’s in the January 2016 TinselBox (Spontaneous Box of Joy version)!
The box! Oh — I should note that I did receive this in December, with plenty of time before New Year’s Eve.
A peek inside. Sparkly!
Another look!
An info card listed all of the items I’d find in the box, along with brief descriptions for each one.
Confetti Popper ($6) – This was exclusively made for TinselBox and features a festive silver and gold color scheme. For an instant party, remove the cap, hold the barrel, and quickly push up the stem. BAM! Confetti everywhere! We’re currently potty training Chloe and she has yet to make a #2 on it… I think I’m going to save this popper for that momentous occasion. 😉
Wish Papers ($7.50) – These are so neat! Inside of the gold tube are 10 magenta colored “wish papers”. To use, crumple one of them up into a ball and make a wish. Next, uncrumple it, form it into a cylinder shape and stand it up on a plate. Then light it — the flame will go out quickly and the paper will float into the air, turning into ash. As it falls back down, catch it and your wish will come true!
Candy Coated Fortune Cookies ($2.50) – How cute are these fancy fortune cookies?! Love ’em! We gave them to the girls for a special treat the other night and they were SO excited. They even kept the fortunes (that now keep turning up in random spots around the house).
Fringe Horns ($3.80) – You can’t have a proper New Year’s Eve party without party horns! These are handmade in metallic gold and rose gold.
Gold Metallic Paper Crowns ($5.50) – You can’t get much more festive than a gold paper crown. This package contains 8 and I think I’ll save these for the girls to play dress-up with. 3-year-olds can never have too many crowns, ya know. 😉
Star Sparkler ($4.50) – This 4-inch gold star sparkler would be the perfect finishing touch for a celebration cake. Since I didn’t get around to using it for New Year’s Eve (um, and I didn’t exactly make a cake either), I think I’ll save this for the 4th of July.
What a fun box! I personally LOVE anything having to do with holidays, so TinselBox is definitely a subscription I can get behind. 😉 I get really excited for Christmas-themed boxes at the end of the year, but am always missing the fun of seasonal/holiday celebrations once the new year starts… This box totally fills that void! Awesome concept, awesome execution. Love it!
Remember — for a limited time, you can save $5 on your first box with coupon code “Tinselbox5“.
