November 2017 Vellabox review time!

If you haven’t heard, Vellabox is a subscription box that specializes in high quality candles which they send to your door every month. Every Vellabox will feature all natural, clean-burning candles made by American artisans. They’ll also be non-toxic, lead-free, and likely hand poured. There are 3 different box sizes to choose from: Lucerna, Ignis, and Vivere. The Lucerna box will include one candle (approximately 4 ounces) each month with a burn time of  approx. 25 hours. The Ignis box will include one candle (approximately 8 ounces) with a burn time of approx. 50 hours. Finally, The Vivere box will feature two candles (totaling approximately 12 ounces) with a burn time of approx. 75 hours. Each box will also come with a small surprise gift.

An info card pasted to the inside lid revealed the contents of all versions of November’s box, along with brief descriptions for each item.

My new candle was wrapped in rustic burlap fabric and tied with a white string.

Burn Candle Company Burn to a Crisp/Granma’s Pumpkin Pie

Strangely, I’m not much of a fan of actual pumpkin pie, but I absolutely LOVE the scent of it! This hand-poured, soy-based candle beautifully captures the smell of a freshly baked pumpkin pie — complete with notes of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, vanilla, and (obviously) pumpkin. Burn Candles are produced by a team of two in Phoenix, AZ. Every quarter, they donate a portion of their profits to local charities. Nice!

Halfpops Curiously Crunchy Popcorn in Caramel & Sea Salt

November’s bonus gift was a bag of caramel & sea salt flavored Halfpops popcorn. Halfpops are sweet & salty, pleasantly crunchy nuggets of half-popped popcorn. They’re made with non-GMO corn and are both nut- and gluten-free.

Thanks to my love for all things pumpkin-scented — well, except actual pie — I think this was my favorite Vellabox to date! “Granma’s Pumpkin Pie” is most definitely one of those candles that I can’t stop sniffing before it’s even lit.
