I really enjoyed last month’s Whistle Work Box (reviewed here), so naturally I was happy to see the June box sitting in my mailbox. Yay for unexpected boxes!
Whistle Work Box is a monthly subscription box that sends you a selection of fun office supplies and novelty items to brighten up your workspace.
Boxes can feature items like small decor pieces, office supplies, lifestyle items, snacks, and more. To allow for “cutesy” items to be sent without turning off the dude-folk, they offer both a Men’s box and a Women’s box.
Subscriptions are $19.99 (plus $5.95 shipping) and past boxes are also available for purchase on their site.
Let’s see what’s in my June Whistle Work Box!
Everything was packed into a brown box and sealed with a Whistle Work Box sticker.
All of the contents were listed on the inner lid. I received the “Desk Candy” woman’s box.

Macaron Storage Box ($2.99) – How cute is this teeny macaron box?! I have no idea what I’m going to store in it, but I love it.
Candy-Colored Smiley Face Diary Notebook ($5.99) – An easy way to add a little whimsey to your workspace, this notebook/diary features a smiley face on the cover as well as on the upper-left corner of each page. The upper-right corner reminds you that “If you laugh, tomorrow will be fun”. Tomorrow?! Why not today?? 😉
American Crafts DIY Permanent Chalk Markers ($3.99) – A set of permanent, all-surface chalk markers ideal for writing on dark surfaces. Not sure what to use these for, but I’m sure Pinterest can help.
Chalkboard Labels – These were included as a bonus item. Great for trying out the markers above.
Down to Earth Pottery Dish ($9.99) – I wasn’t really a fan of this until I noticed how pretty its “insides” were. Look at those crystals! This decorative dish is thrown, glazed, and fired by hand, so no two are exactly alike. The center contains small rock candy-like “crystals” made of recycled glass. — I tried to capture them in the photos, but this piece looks a lot more impressive in person.
Heart Washi Tape ($3.99) – A roll of colorful washi tape to add some life to your workspace.
File Express Mini Nail Files ($2.99) – A small, matchbox-size pack of nail files to stow in your desk for quick workday nail fixes. Box contains 12 boldly colored mini files.
Sweet Lollipop Rollerball Black Ink Pen ($2.99) – A bubblegum pink lollipop pen whose “top” comes off to reveal the pen tip. Despite it’s novelty “look”, it actually writes quite nicely. Better than the more professional-looking pen beside it.
Zebra Sarasa Pen – Another bonus item. As mentioned above, the lollipop pen actually writes a lot better than this one. I could never get a smooth, fully-inked line… It always broke up after a second or two.
Candy – More bonus items! I can’t look at the candy stick label without seeing “Sick Candy”. Bad placement for the expiration date. 😉
Another fun selection of workplace treats from Whistle Work Box! I like the mix of both useful office supplies and whimsical/decorative novelty items. Definitely an ideal box for anyone who wants to make their work environment a little more… tolerable?
