WorldlyBox is a new monthly subscription box that sends handcrafted artisan jewelry pieces based on your own personal style.
Each box will contain 2 unique pieces of jewelry — such as necklaces, bracelets, and earrings — along with a bonus artisan-made surprise. Items are sourced directly from artisans residing in various different countries around the world. By purchasing a box, you’re helping to support and empower those who otherwise wouldn’t be able to get their products out to the international market. When you sign up for WorldlyBox, you’ll be able to complete a short survey which will help ensure that you receive items that best fit your personal style.
Subscriptions are $14.99/month or less with multi-month commitments.
Let’s see what’s in my February 2016 WorldlyBox!
Everything was shipped in a white polymailer bag via first class mail.
The box! At first I thought the “W” was for Wendy, but quickly remembered the name of the box. Ha. Oops.
A personalized note included information about each of the pieces I was sent, along with a space to write my feedback and share it via Instagram.
The back of the note featured a map of the world showing where each of my pieces came from.
A look inside the box!
Both of the pieces were individually packaged in little organza bags, while the bonus item (pouch) held an additional piece (sent for as an extra for doing the review).
Beaded Bracelet (Kenya) – I’ve received a paper bead bracelet in another subscription box not too long ago and mentioned to WorldlyBox that I was a fan of that style. Clearly they listened! This handmade bracelet was made by a Kenyan artisan using recycled newspaper and green paint. I actually prefer the look of the beads unpainted, but this is still a neat piece.
Beaded Clip-On Earrings (Venezuela) – In my style survey I also mentioned that I didn’t have pierced ears, so they sent me these clip-ons. They’re made by a group of young women artisans from the city of Valencia. I actually don’t wear earrings at all, clip-on or otherwise, so these will be passed along to a friend.
Handmade Pouch (Guatemala) – My bonus item was this pretty handmade pouch made by artisans in Guatemala. It’s really soft and I love its small size. Perfect to hold change, jewelry, or tiny treasures. 🙂
Reviewer Bonus – I also received another bonus item inside of the pouch as a thank you for reviewing the box. — A handmade bracelet made in Ghana.
WorldlyBox is a great subscription box for anyone looking to add some international flair to their jewelry collection, all while supporting small artisans around the world. I love that each box is customized based on each subscriber’s preferences and that feedback is encouraged to help them improve their selections each month. It’s also very affordable! 🙂
