December 2016 YumeTwins unboxing time! — It was a wee bit late getting here, but it was worth the wait. 🙂
If you’re not aware, YumeTwins is a new subscription box that sends you a collection of cute Japanese items every month. Each box will consist of 8 to 10 yume kawaii inspired items sent straight from Japan. Yume kawaii is a new kawaii movement that is a mixture of cuteness and fairytales, with a touch of darkness. Yume itself means “dream”, so not only does yume kawaii center around cute styles, but it also has a magical dreamy feel to it. Items can include plushies, keychains, stationery, squishies, candy, collectible figures, wearables, accessories, and more. All products are from officially licensed brands/franchises such as Sanrio, Sailor Moon, Re-Ment, Amuse, Ban Dai, Takara Tomy, and more.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $23.99/month (plus $6 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can save $5 on your first monthly box (or even more on multi-month commitments!) with coupon code FAVORITES!
Let’s see what’s in the December 2016 YumeTwins box!
The super ~kawaii~ white & purple box.
A peek inside!
A full color info booklet included contests, subscriber submitted artwork, and a full run-down of all the items featured in December’s “Christmas” themed box.
Neko Atsume Plushie Hat
Neko Atsume!! I still feed my animated kitty friends on a daily basis and love seeing who comes to visit. (Oh, it’s an app for anyone who isn’t yet aware of the awesomeness that is Neko Atsume. 😉 ) This adorable plush hat depicts Odd-san — the black kitty with the blue and yellow eyes. As cute as it is, I don’t quite think I can pull it off at my age, so I’ll be bestowing this upon my lucky kiddos. It looks a LOT less ridiculous on a 4-year old. 🙂
Rilakkuma Hand Towel
This pretty pink hand towel features Rilakkuma enjoying some treats with friends. It’s a lot larger than the towels YumeTwins has sent in the past and will be perfect for bath time.
Christmas Bath Soak
Speaking of bath time… This super festive bath powder not only smells Christmas-y, but it also turns your water a beautiful red color. I can’t wait to try it out!
Mame Shiba Inu Smartphone Cleaner
This itty bitty doggy(?) plushie is actually designed to be a smartphone cleaner. I think I’m going to have to find another use for him though because I can’t bear to get him all dirty and have to eventually throw him out. He deserves better than that!
Christmas Peanuts Plushie
Subscribers could have received one of four different Peanuts character plushies and I was so happy to get Woodstock! I’ve always been kind of indifferent to Snoopy and the rest of the crew, but for some reason I thought Woodstock was kinda cute. The tiny Santa hat and scarf just make him all the cuter. 🙂
Snoopy Pocket Mirror
More Woodstock! Oh, and Snoopy too. Subscribers could have received one of twelve different Peanuts themed foldable pocket mirrors. Is it just me, or does Snoopy look like he’s partaking in an alcoholic beverage? Ha.
Amuse Kotoritai Kinchaku Pouch
I have no idea what I’m going to do with this plush birdie pouch, but I LOVE it! 😀 It’s sooo soft and has an easy drawstring closure that could double as a handle. Adorable!
The Return of Lum: Lum Invader Decorative Tape
According to the info card, Lum Invader is the protagonist from The Return of Lum, an iconic manga from the 1980’s. This themed masking tape can be used to decorate a notebook, secure photos in a scrapbook, and more.
I absolutely LOVED the December 2016 YumeTwins box! It was just loaded with fun kawaii items and I really enjoyed the festive Christmas theme. My favorite items this time were the Neko Atsume hat, kinchaku pouch, Rilakkuma hand towel, and Woodstock plushie. — Remember, for a limited time you can save $5 on your first monthly box (or even more on multi-month commitments!) with coupon code FAVORITES!
