Yay! Time for another YumeTwins unboxing!
If you’re not aware, YumeTwins is a new subscription box that sends you a collection of cute Japanese items every month. Each box will consist of 8 to 10 yume kawaii inspired items sent straight from Japan. Yume kawaii is a new kawaii movement that is a mixture of cuteness and fairytales, with a touch of darkness. Yume itself means “dream”, so not only does yume kawaii center around cute styles, but it also has a magical dreamy feel to it. Items can include plushies, keychains, stationery, squishies, candy, collectible figures, wearables, accessories, and more. All products are from officially licensed brands/franchises such as Sanrio, Sailor Moon, Re-Ment, Amuse, Ban Dai, Takara Tomy, and more.
Subscriptions are $23.99/month (plus $6 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — Through July 31st, you can save 20% on your first box with coupon code “SAVE20“!
Let’s see what’s in the July 2016 YumeTwins box!
The box!
A peek inside. — What kawaii-ness lies beneath??
Ooh! — Fluffy. 🙂
A full color info booklet included photos of the latest pop culture trends in Tokyo, contests, and a full run-down of all the items featured in July’s “Sanrio All Stars” box.
Shinada Baby Poodle Plush – Awww! This fluffy little poodle is SO soft n’ snuggly. He (she?) reminds me of the cute “Lambie” plushes that Bath & Body Works sold a few years back (that I might have bought like seven of. 😉 ) Subscribers could have received this puppy in pink, black, or white.
Hello Kitty Pouch – It wouldn’t be a Sanrio themed box without some Hello Kitty things! This cute fabric pouch measures roughly 7″ x 6″ and features a drawstring closure. My girls are major Hello Kitty fans and love anything that they can “put stuff in”, so they’ll be fighting over this pouch for sure. 😉
Harajuku Kawaii Bracelet – When I first saw this insanely colorful beaded bracelet, I figured it was more of a child’s item… Until I opened it up and found that it fits my wrist perfectly. Sorry kids, this bracelet might be stayin’ with mama.
Harajuku Princess Tiara – This little crown has a little built-in comb for you to wear it in your hair. These crowns are popular with Japanese girls who’re into Harajuku street style and I’m sure my girls will be all about it too.
My Melody Plush – Subscribers could have received either a Hello Kitty or My Melody plush… Of course I was hoping for Hello Kitty, but this one’s cute too. She’s holding a plastic heart with a unique Japanese name on it. (Anyone know what it says??)
Hello Kitty Memo Pad – Okay, I’m not 100% sure what this is… The info booklet calls it a memo pad, but it’s just a single “sheet” of silicone type material. The little red heart pops out and from the photos on the package, it looks like it functions as an eraser. So I guess you can write on the surface using a regular pen, and the eraser removes it? The second photo shows something that I can’t quite make out… Looks like a stamp(?) being pressed onto a sheet of paper that’s laying on the kitty pad(???). No idea.
My Melody Socks – These socks are so cute! Subscribers could have received My Melody, Hello Kitty, or Little Twin Stars. I was all set to claim them for myself, but it looks like the US equivalent to 22-24 cm is roughly sizes 5-7, which is way too small for my gigantic feet. 🙁
Hello Kitty Randoseru Charm – According to the info booklet, a “Randoseru” is a classic backpack commonly used by Japanese elementary students. This smaller version is perfect for holding your change, makeup, or other small items.
Another super cute box from YumeTwins! — You really can’t go wrong with a Sanrio theme. 😉 All of the items were absolutely adorable and totally kawaii. Perfect! — Remember, through July 31st you can save 20% on your first box with coupon code “SAVE20“!
