November 2016 YumeTwins unboxing time!
If you’re not aware, YumeTwins is a new subscription box that sends you a collection of cute Japanese items every month. Each box will consist of 8 to 10 yume kawaii inspired items sent straight from Japan. Yume kawaii is a new kawaii movement that is a mixture of cuteness and fairytales, with a touch of darkness. Yume itself means “dream”, so not only does yume kawaii center around cute styles, but it also has a magical dreamy feel to it. Items can include plushies, keychains, stationery, squishies, candy, collectible figures, wearables, accessories, and more. All products are from officially licensed brands/franchises such as Sanrio, Sailor Moon, Re-Ment, Amuse, Ban Dai, Takara Tomy, and more.
Disclosure: I received this box for review purposes. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own. Post may contain affiliate and/or referral links.
Subscriptions are $23.99/month (plus $6 shipping), or less with multi-month commitments. — For a limited time, you can save $3 on your first monthly box (or even more on multi-month commitments!) with coupon code NEWYUMETWINS!
Let’s see what’s in the November 2016 YumeTwins box!
The pretty purple box!
A peek inside. (Oh, hello giant alpaca!)
A full color info booklet included photos of the latest pop culture trends in Tokyo, contests, and a full run-down of all the items featured in November’s “Breakfast” themed box.
Shinada Baby Nature Plushie – Awww! This little (er, big) plushie is SO soft! Subscribers could have received a baby tiger, cat, baku, or alpaca (this guy!). He’s absolutely adorable and as large as the box itself. 😀
Kawaii Mini Notepad – Subscribers received a mini notepad featuring either FuniFuni Marshmallow or Obento Mate. I received the latter, which appears to be some sort of sushi-themed character(s). The mini pad has 2 different designs and 100 pages total.
Enogumasan 2-Way Marker – This 2-sided marker features a thick tip on one side with a finer point on the other. It’s adorned with images of Enogumasan, a character from the popular Japanese stationery maker Kamio. (I think he’s a bear?)
Re-Ment Sailor Moon Sweets Mascot – A surprise blind box featuring Sailor Moon! There were 6 sweets-themed designs to collect and I received a pink & yellow cupcake with a brown & pink silhouette charm.
Sanrio Gudetama Stickers – Ah, good ol’ Gudetama… Everyone’s favorite lazy egg. This packet contained 3 stickers of Gudetama in various “poses”. I’m still trying to decide if the middle one is picking his nose or flipping me off. 😉
Sanrio Kirimichan Post-Its – Another food-based Sanrio character, Kirimichan is actually sliced salmon. — With a face, of course. 😉 I love how these post-its have little speech bubbles to write your notes in. I also love his little radish(?) sidekick.
Rilakkuuma Tea Party Darjeeling Tea Bags – A set of 3 darjeeling tea bags attached to paper holders which feature the character Rilakkuuma. Attach them to the side of your cup, fill with hot water, and drink away.
Sumikko Gurashi Sushi Rubber Keychain Charm – Another blind box! This one features the characters from Sumikko Gurashi and there are 8 different designs to collect. I received the one above, which looks like a mom & baby rice ball(?) wrapped in seaweed. Whatever it is, it’s cute. 😉
YumeTwins is such a fun box! I never know exactly what I’ll find inside, but I know it’ll be oozing in cuteness. My favorite items this time were the big alpaca plushie, double-sided marker, Rilakkuuma tea, and the blind boxes. — Remember, for a limited time you can save $3 on your first monthly box (or even more on multi-month commitments!) with coupon code NEWYUMETWINS!
