April ZBOX unboxing time!
ZBOX is a UK-based subscription box that sends you a mystery collection of geeky goodies every month. Each box will feature a new theme — from zombies and the undead to retro games and pop culture — and contain over £35 (roughly $48) worth of exclusive and licensed merchandise. The interior of each month’s box will be designed specifically around the theme and include a little “Easter-egg” for you to seek out.
Subscriptions are $31.58/month (£19.99) and they ship worldwide.
Let’s see what’s in the April 2016 ZBOX!
The box!
A peek inside.
A ZBOX mini mag revealed April’s theme — “Batman” — and included a look at the evolution of the Batman logo over time, classic Adam West one-liners, and more. It also listed all of the items inside the box, along with brief descriptions of each one.
Batman T-Shirt ($10-15?) – An exclusively designed ZBOX t-shirt that depicts a unique take on the classic Batman symbol. It was pretty subtle (at least to me) and my husband had to actually point out the symbol to me (it’s in the trees/clouds!).
Batman Build Your Own Batmobile ($25.95) – This neat puzzle allows you to build your own 3D Batmobile! It contains 8 puzzle sheets (33 puzzle pieces in all), along with complete instructions. The end result measures 6.5cm x 26cm x 9.5cm. Very cool!
Detective Comics Batman & Robin Puzzle Tin ($5?) – I couldn’t find this exact puzzle anywhere, so I’m guessing at the value. It features a classic Batman & Robin comic design and includes 150 pieces, all in a compact tin.
Superman Kawaii Cube ($11.50) – Hey, what’s he doing in this box?! He may not be Batman, but this little Superman plush sure is cute! He measures roughly 4 inches by 4 inches and is all decked out with the tiniest lil’ cape ever. Awww. He’s super soft & cuddly and not surprisingly my favorite item in this month’s box. 😉
Batman Playing Cards ($12.99) – These playing cards have the iconic black ‘Bat’ image on one side, while the face cards display the suits and numbers in a uniquely roguish ‘dark’ style. A sleek black tin stores them away in style.
While I’m not much of a Batman fan, I still appreciate the awesome curation of this month’s ZBOX. All of the items were of nice quality and sure to impress any Batman collector/fan. The value was great too — totaling over $68 in all (give or take a few dollars for the items I had to estimate). Oh, spoiler alert: The theme for May’s box is “Marvel”!
