*As of December 2015, Citrus Lane is no longer in business. If you’re looking for an alternative, bluum is a great choice. — You can see my reviews of them here. With bluum, you can choose your own products and build your own box. They feature the same great brands, plus you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.*
Citrus Lane totally delivered this month! I mean, I’m usually happy with everything they send, but this month was perfect. All of the items I hoped to get (from seeing spoiler pics), I ended up receiving in my box. Score!
For any newbies out there, Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids (aged newborn-5). It’s $25/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom. Needless to say, I LOVE this box.
This time around, my box was geared towards a 14-month old girl. There really wasn’t much of a theme, though the info card does mention autumn and doing more indoor activities. Blahblahblah… Let’s see what I got!
Hape Push & Pull Crocodile – I love this guy! This little croc can be pushed (there’s a cut-out “handle” in the center) or pulled (there’s a string under the label). It rolls very easily on carpet, which is definitely a big plus. Another plus? It’s made with solid maple from sustainable forests and painted with non-toxic, child-safe paint. (Amazon Price: $14.98.)
Episencial Playful Wash (3.4 oz) – You can never have too much shampoo/baby wash! This stuff is chemical-free and made with organic ingredients. It’s also vegan, gluten-free and pH-balanced. Awesome. (Amazon Price: roughly $3.83)
Charley Harper 123’s from AMMO Books – This isn’t your everyday board book… It’s almost a mini work of art! Inside are beautifully drawn illustrations from the late American illustrator, Charley Harper. His whimsical drawings are colorful and perfect for little ones. I also really like the fact that they included a photograph of the artist on the last page. It was a nice, unexpected surprise. 🙂 (Amazon Price: $7.96)
Super Toddler Bar from Happy Family – We’re all about Happy Family products in our house. The girls LOVE their Happy Puffs. Unlike most conventional baby/toddler snacks, Happy Family products are organic and use all-natural ingredients. This toddler bar is also gluten-free. (Amazon Price: roughly $0.84)
Julep Nail Color in Coco – Yay! A mom gift! I’ve heard of Julep, but never actually tried it. There seems to be quite a buzz around this stuff. An obsession, even. Honestly, I don’t get it… Nail polish is nail polish, right? Apparently not. This polish is “4-free”, meaning it’s free of formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, toluene, & DBP (bad stuff). It’s also fast-drying, chip-resistant, and safe for little one’s toes. Bonus: I actually like the color! This is the first time I’ve gotten a polish from a sub box that I actually LIKE. Yay! (Amazon Price: $17.00)
So yeah, this box was AWESOME! All of the items are things that’ll get used, and though I may not have bought them all on my own (see: super expensive polish), I’m totally happy to receive them. All totaled, the value of everything in this box is an impressive $44.61. 😀
If you’re interested in trying out Citrus Lane for yourself, now’s a great time! They have 2 awesome deals available that expire soon — I posted them a couple days ago and they can be found right here!
Disclosure: I purchased this box on my own. I was not compensated in any way. All opinions are my own — I just really love this box! Amazon prices subject to change. Post contains affiliate links.
