Yay! Citrus Lane time! This is one of my favorite boxes and one of the first I ever subscribed to.
Citrus Lane is a monthly subscription for babies/kids aged newborn-5. It’s $29/month (cheaper with longer subs) and includes a nice assortment of toys, books, snacks, toiletries, etc. Sometimes they even include a gift for mom.
This month’s box featured products that are great for travel and “on-the-go”. As always, I had already seen plenty of spoilers and pretty much knew what would be in my box. That said, I was still excited to see (confirm?) what was inside.
Our box is geared towards a 23-month year old girl and here’s what we got…
I noticed that I never really include a photo of the info card in my Citrus Lane reviews. So… there ya go. 😉
Plan Toys My First Phone – Our age group was given a choice to customize one of the items in the box this month. We could pick either the Plan Toys camera, or the phone. Luckily we already have the camera, so it was an easy decision to choose phone. (Trust me, I would have stressed over it if we didn’t… I’m awful at making the tiniest decisions.) My girls LOVE trying to steal our phones to play with, so I was hoping they’d be into this despite the fact that it doesn’t light up or make noise or anything “phone-like”. So far, so good. While they don’t make noise, the 5 colored buttons are pushable, and the “screen” is actually a magnifying glass. It even has a little fabric carrying strap. (Amazon Price: $11.99)
Aqueduck Faucet Extender – I’ve never seen anything like this before. It’s an “extender” that you slip on the end of your faucet to lengthen the stream of water to make it easier for little ones to reach. How cool is that? It works with just about any traditional sink and is super easy to remove. You can even use it for traveling. It’s BPA/PVC-free and dishwasher safe too! (Amazon Price: $9.99)
Oogaa Silicone Placemat – I knew we’d be getting an Oogaa product this month and was kinda hoping for the bowl (we have one already and love it). The girls are still too small to eat at the table with us, so I’ll be putting this away for later. We actually already have a purple one, so I don’t mind getting a second (pink) one so the girls each have their own. This is BPA-free, dishwasher safe, and your kiddo can draw on it with washable markers. (Amazon price: $8.99)
Pur-Lisse Pur-Protect Moisturizer with Sunscreen – This has been in a TON of subscription boxes lately. (It’s a good brand, but geez… Enough Pur-Lisse!) It’s a daily moisturizer with the protection of SPF 30 sunscreen. It’s lightweight and great for normal to dry skin. I haven’t had a chance to try it yet, because I have sooo many lotions, but I’ve seen nothing but positive reviews. (Amazon price: roughly $4.78 for this 0.5 oz size)
Plum Organics Mighty 4 Pouch – Citrus Lane seems to be all about Plum Organics lately, but that’s cool cos my girls are too! Thanks to a high-value coupon I found online, we have a big pile of these in our pantry right now. They’re a great mid-day toddler snack and I love that they include ingredients from 4 of the food groups — fruits, veggies, grains, and dairy (yogurt). (Amazon price: roughly $2.00 for one pouch)
I was pretty happy with this month’s Citrus Lane box. The phone is neat and the girls seem to like it, the faucet thing is great, the girls now each have a matching placemat, and the lotion & pouch will totally get used. Definitely wins all around! Oh, and the total of everything included comes to $37.75. Not super high, but totally more than the cost of the subscription.
If you’d like to try Citrus Lane for yourself, you can score your first box for just $9.00 shipped (save $20!) when you use the promo code “TAKE20OFF“! That’s a seriously great deal!
