5 Wacky Women is a new women’s subscription box that sends a variety of fun, unique, and useful items to your door every month.
Each box will contain 4 to 6 products chosen by the owners of 5 Wacky Women — an actual brick and mortar store located in Cockeysville, MD. Featured items can include jewelry, handbags, books, bath & body products, home decor, sweet treats, accessories, and more. They strive to deliver fun, functional, and hard to find items that are sure to put a smile on your face.
Subscriptions are $34.95/month plus $5 shipping.
Let’s see what’s in the December 2015 5 Wacky Women box!
The box! I love the fun polka dot design.
A peek inside.
An info card let me know that this month’s items were chosen to help ease the stress of the holiday season. (Thank you!) Everything included in the box was listed, along with brief descriptions for each item.
Cra-Z-Art Colored Pencils – A pack of 24 colored pencils was provided to use with the next item…
The Mindfulness Coloring Book: Anti-Stress Art Therapy for Busy People – Yay! I am SO loving all these coloring books I’ve been seeing in subscription boxes lately. I used to color in regular kid’s coloring books (think Care Bears) in my 20’s, so I love that they make more “grown up” versions now for the kids at heart.
Here’s a peek at a few pages. It has 112 in all with varying degrees of detail. Can’t wait to start using it!
Hydra Aromatherapy Stress Buster Shower Burst – The packaging on this got a little banged up in transit, but the box smelled SO good when I opened it up that I don’t even mind. This shower version of a bath bomb is activated by wetting it a little and placing it on a soap dish or shelf (not in the stream of water). It’s infused with real essential oils and other natural ingredients for a soothing aromatherapy experience. I’ll be using this ASAP!
DeBrand Fine Chocolates My Bar! Sea Salt Splash – Yeeeah… I’m definitely gonna need some more of these bars. I fully expected this chocolate to contain something non-vegan, but to my surprise it was all clear! It features rich dark chocolate, crispy rice, and a touch of sea salt — and it tastes amazing. More, please!
Envirosax Eco-Friendly Reusable Tote Bag – Honestly, I have SO many totes thanks to subscription boxes that I just can’t muster up much excitement for them anymore. Of course, that doesn’t mean that this isn’t a useful little eco-friendly tote bag! It features a pretty Paris/travel design, holds up to 45 pounds, and rolls up to a compact 4″ size.
Juniper Tree Candied Quince Soap – What a pretty bar of soap! This glycerin soap is made with a variety of different plant-based oils including coconut, palm, castor, and safflower. It’s topped with herbs, flowers, and body safe glitter for a truly unique (and colorful!) presentation. It smells nice too. 😉
Strachan Cosmetic Bag by Spartina 449 – This was listed on the info card as simply “Free Gift”, so I’m not sure if everyone received the same thing or if the gift varied by box. I wasn’t exactly what type of bag this was until I Googled it and found that Spartina is a pretty decent brand. Oh, and that this is a cosmetic bag — the zippered bottom part is to hold your makeup brushes. It features a linen body with real leather trim and a poly-lined interior for easy cleaning.
What a fun box! I’m totally impressed with the nice selection of items 5 Wacky Women included in their debut (I think?) offering. I think I’ll personally use every single item, minus the bags — only because I have a gazillion totes already and the makeup bag isn’t vegan-friendly. Overall, an awesome box! 🙂

What a great box and wish I could try out that chocolate!! Before all of these “Adult Coloring Books” I would get my childhood favorites and my Crayolas!
