Angel Shave Club is a new subscription box that sends women a customized shaving box at the frequency of their choice.
Each box is personalized based on your individual needs. When you sign up you’ll have the option to choose the number of blades, the color of the razor’s handle, and how often you’d like the box delivered. “The Little Lady” plan includes a 3-blade razor, while “The Angel” plan offers a 5-blade razor with an extra blade for on top for hard to reach areas. Angel Shave Club donates a portion of all sales to the Malala Fund to help girls further their education.
Subscriptions are $12 every 2 months for “The Little Lady” plan (includes 8 blades in all) or $18 every 2 months for the “Angel Plan” (also includes 8 blades in all). You can also choose to receive shipments every 4 months at the same pricing. Shipping is free for all plans.
Let’s see what’s in my April 2016 Angel Shave Club box!
The box!
A peek inside.
An info card included tips for a great shave, along with a few “popular shaving myths debunked”. Looks like shaving cream isn’t as unnecessary as I thought!
All of the cartridges were packaged in a pink Angel Shave Club box. As promised, there were 8 in all (one was already attached to the handle).
I received “The Angel” option which featured 6 blades on each cartridge — 5 in a row and one on top for hard to reach areas.
The handle itself was very well made. It had a nice weight to it with a soft, comfortable grip. The head pivots smoothly for an easy, close shave.
Angel Shave Club is definitely an affordable (and super convenient!) way to keep yourself stocked with good quality shaving supplies. Plus, you’ll be supporting a good cause while you’re at it. Win/win! 🙂

I purchased the monthly plan. When I first used the Angel Shave Club’s razors I was very impressed with the weighty handle. It is constructed of nice heavy metal with a good pink rubber gripping strip. Well that was the best of it. The blades are made of cheap flimsy plastic that keeps popping apart with every stroke of the leg! And don’t dare drop this one! I accidentally dropped my razor right after I put in a new set of blades and it just wouldn’t stay together after many attempts I had to throw the 2 pieces of the blade away and install a new one into the handle. I had high hopes for this razor but end up very disappointed and canceled my subscription after trying for 4 months thinking maybe i got a bad batch……not the case. The second shipment was exactly the same 🙁
