Athletic Foodie is a subscription box that sends you healthy, all natural snacks to keep you fit.
Each box will include a variety of pre-portioned snacks to help you perform at your peak. Athletic Foodie was founded by Olympic gold medalist, Garrett Weber-Gale and all of the snacks are designed by sports dietitians. This ensures that you’ll get the right nutrients to fuel your body both before, after, and during your workouts.
Subscriptions start at $32.99 and are available both monthly and every-other-month. You can also choose the type of snacks you’d like — pre, during, post-workout snacks, or all of the above.
Let’s see what’s in my August 2015 Athletic Foodie box!
Everything was shipped in a plain brown box with an Athletic Foodie logo stamped on the side. Here’s a peek inside. On top was a sheet with additional info about the subscription and its snacks.
Full nutritional facts were also included for every snack in the box. I was excited to see that every single one was vegan-friendly (well, if you eat honey, which stricter vegans don’t). Yay!
Strawberry Spark Energy Chews (Eat during workout or within 30 minutes post workout) – Yum! I shared these with my 3 year olds and we all loved ’em! They’re little strawberry-flavored fruit snacks made with apple puree and other natural fruit juices. So good!
Atomic Orange Energy Chews (Eat during workout or within 30 minutes post workout) – Like the strawberry chews, these are made with 95% real fruit juice and are both athlete- and toddler-friendly.
Apple Zapple Pre-Workout Granola (Eat 30-60 minutes pre-workout) – This pre-workout granola is made with dried apples, raisins, rolled oats, chia seeds, quinoa, and other good-for-you ingredients. You can clearly see all of the big apple chunks in the bag — no teeny pieces here!
Goji Moji Pre-Workout Granola (Eat 30-60 minutes pre-workout) – Another great granola mix that features goji berries, blueberries, almonds, quinoa, groats, and more. Mmm!
MangCoco Crunch Post-Workout Trail Mix (Eat within 30 minutes post-workout) – How pretty is this trail mix? Seriously. So colorful! It’s 100% natural and includes dried mango, raisins, cashews, goji berries, almonds, dried coconut, and sea salt.
Berry Strong Post-Workout Trail Mix (Eat within 30 minutes post-workout) – A fruiter trail mix made with raisins, apples, cherries, blueberries, almonds, pistachios, cashews, sunflower seeds, and sea salt.
Athletic Foodie is a great box for both athletes and anyone who just wants to enjoy some healthy, pre-portioned snacks. The snacks are intended to be single servings, but I like that the packages are resealable — perfect for toddlers.
