Let’s see what’s in my September 2021 Babies in Motions “Explore Box”!
Everything was shipped in an orange box with a Babies in Motions logo on top.
A peek inside!
A 2-sided info/activity card listed all of the items found in the box, along with ways to utilize them and which of the five learning domains each one supports. (All five learning domains were also listed on the reverse side.)
Spark Create Imagine Mini Wooden Puzzle ($6.50, Amazon)
Help encourage your little one’s physical, cognitive, and language skills with this cute farm-themed puzzle. It features four colorful “pieces” with built-in plastic pegs to allow for easy grasping. Finding the correct piece to fit into the coordinating spot on the board is simplified by using matching animals — specifically, a cow, duck, pig, and horse. My own kiddos are now nearing double-digits, but they had similar puzzles when they were babies and they LOVED them. 🙂
Cate + Levi Fleece Puppy Hand Puppet ($19.99, Amazon)
How adorable is this Cate + Levi puppy puppet?! The lil’ guy was handmade in Canada using 100% polar fleece from the US and is SUPER soft & cuddly. Animal hand puppets are excellent for improving motor skills, hand-eye coordination, communication skills, and building self-confidence. They’re also great for story-telling and pretend play. The puppet measures roughly 12 inches long by 5 inches wide (plenty of room for my own hand/arm) and is machine washable.
Never Touch a Tiger! Board Book ($10.61, Amazon)
This whimsical board book introduces your little one to a variety of jungle animals who love to party. The colorful illustrations and rhyming verse are great for building on language and cognitive skills, while the silicone textures on each page spread make it a tactile experience as well. The book has a total of 12 sturdy pages and is suitable for all ages.
Animal Finger Puppets ($6.99, Amazon)
More puppets! — But this time, they’re for your fingers. 😉 The info card suggests using these to re-tell the story in “Never Touch a Tiger!“. This 6-piece set includes a zebra, lion, monkey, giraffe, elephant, and of course, a tiger. They’re also waterproof, making them great for using in the tub!
Tote Bag
Also included was a bright orange tote bag with a Babies in Motions logo printed in white. This wasn’t included on the info card, so I’m guessing it was just a nice little bonus item. 🙂
The September 2021 Babies in Motions “Explore Box” featured a nice collection of products to encourage a child’s growth and development in all 5 of the all-important learning domains. I appreciate how every item had a purpose and was not only great for playtime, but also learning/building on specific skills. The total value of everything in this month’s box was also quite reasonable, at just over $44 (not including the tote). Definitely a nice subscription box for little ones! 🙂
