Beauteque Monthly Mask Maven is a subscription box that sends you a selection of beauty masks from Korea and Taiwan.
Each box will contain 9 to 11 masks that can include those for the face, hands, feet, and more. Every month will feature a new theme and a hand-selected assortment of masks for a variety of skin concerns. Your box could include masks for acne, age prevention, uneven skin tone, dullness, enlarged pores, dryness, and more.
Subscriptions are $15/month, or less with multi-month commitments.
Let’s see what’s in the September 2016 Beauteque Monthly Mask Maven box!
All of the masks were tucked into a big purple organza bag.
September’s theme was “Modern Maskinista” and featured the latest in masking technology. An info card listed all of the masks, as well as brief descriptions for each one.
There was also a “Mask Maven 30 Day Beauty Plan” to help you plan out your mask usage throughout the month. It also included tips and helpful mask-related info.
Wellage Vitablue Injection Mask – This DIY mask requires you to “inject” a mixture of vitamin powder and essence into the provided sheet mask. Adding the mix yourself prevents oxidation of the ingredients and ensures that your skin gets the freshest possible treatment. Ingredients include hyaluronic acid, collagen, Vitamin C, and snail mucin.
NOHJ Calming Intracell Sleeping Mask – First, the packaging on these NOHJ masks is SO neat. It’s hard to tell by the photos, but there’s a really cool 3D effect goin’ on. 🙂 This calming mask has a warm coffee and lavender scent to help relax you while it soothes & moisturizes your skin. It contains plant-based ingredients including lemon & tomato extract, aloe vera leaf, and green tea extract.
NOHJ Black Intracell Boosting Mask – When placed on your face, this mask produces self-massaging bubbles between your skin and the mask. This helps to remove excess sebum and impurities from your pores while moisturizing & brightening your complexion.
LadyKin Acai Berry Lifting Ice Cold Mask – A fresh cellulose mask containing acai berry extract, essential fatty acids, and vitamins to help hydrate and plump up fine lines. You can use this chilled in the fridge for a cool-down after a long day, or even warm it in a bowl of water for an equally calming effect.
Esfolio Pearl Essence Mask Sheet – A highly concentrated sheet mask formulated with fresh pearl extract which is known to have an intense brightening effect on the skin. This mask is great for improving the look of dark spots and acne scarring.
Esfolio Snail Essence Mask Sheet – Another concentrated mask, this one is formulated with fresh snail secretion filtrate which is said to make your skin calm and elastic. According to the info card, snail mucin is widely used in the K-Beauty community because it helps speed up your skin’s regeneration rate. This, in turn, helps to fade acne scars, plump up fine lines, and revitalize the skin.
Saference F+C Skin-Rx Facial Firming Mask – An ideal firming mask for sensitive skin, this is free of parabens, dyes, benzophenone, sorbic acid, and benzyl alcohol. Saference is a new brand that claims to offer clinical results using all natural ingredients.
Annie’s Way Tea Tree Anti-Acne Silk Mask – For those with acne-prone skin, this sheet mask is infused with tea tree oil which is known for its powerful antiseptic properties. It deep cleans the skin and removes dirt & oil from pores to refresh your complexion.
Annie’s Way Hyaluronic Hydrating Silk Mask – Hyaluronic acid has effective anti-aging properties and helps increase skin’s elasticity & plump up fine lines for a more youthful appearance. Leave this mask on for 15-20 minutes, then massage the remaining essence into the skin for best results.
While I’m not much of a sheet mask user myself, Beauteque Monthly Mask Maven is clearly a great subscription for those who are. It included a nice variety of different masks and the info card was very helpful in letting you know what each one was specifically useful for. (Oh, I should note that all of the packaging/instructions were in languages other than English, but you can refer to the Beauteque website for full info on each one.)
