Best Kept Rx is a new subscription box that sends you a selection of products to “nourish your mind, body, and soul”. I could always use a lil’ nourishing, so I happily agreed to review their first box.
Everyone could use a little pampering once in a while… Best Kept Rx, founded by the folks at the website Best Kept Self, serves to do just that. Each quarter, they hand select five full sized items for you to discover and enjoy. Products can include skincare and makeup items, healthy snacks, home accessories, and more.
Subscriptions are $49 per quarter (shipping included), or less with an annual plan.
Let’s see what’s in the box!
The box itself got a bit knocked around during shipping, but thankfully everything inside was in good shape. There wasn’t an info card included, so I’ll just jump right into the goodies…
Infuser Water Bottle ($12.99) – I keep seeing these fruit infuser bottles everywhere and have been curious to try one out… Now I can! This is a good sized, 27 ounce bottle with a twist off cap and flip lock lid. It’s made of BPA-free material and has a neat non-skid rubber base. I haven’t actually tried it out yet, but I did buy a lemon this week so I’ll be giving it a go really soon.
Inglot Cosmetics Slim Gel Lipstick #52 ($12) – I’ve never heard of Inglot Cosmetics, but judging from their website, they’re a pretty popular worldwide brand. This lipstick is infused with Vitamin E, avocado oil, and evening primrose to provide plenty of moisture. I don’t wear anything on my lips besides lip balm, but this shade is almost light enough for me to wear. Almost.
Baron Fig Apprentice Pocket Notebooks ($9) – A set of 3 blank pocket-sized notebooks for jotting down ideas, sketching, journaling, making lists… the possibilities are endless. Each book is 3.5″ x 5″ and includes 48 blank pages. A useful, practical item. I like it.
Rebecca’s Herbal Apothecary Energy Essential Oil Blend ($4.05) – I’ve gotten quite a few essential oil blends in subscription boxes and never remember to actually use them. This one is a blend of tangerine, cedarwood, coriander and fennel essential oils. It’s said to evoke feelings of “fortitude, stamina, and motivation”. I could definitely use all of the above.
ToGoSpa Green Tea Eyes ($12.50) – I received a package of these under eye treatments in January’s POPSUGAR Must Have box, but I still haven’t tried them out. They’re micro-infused collagen pads that you place under your eyes to “lift, brighten, de-puff, and moisturize”. 3 treatments are included.
Best Kept Rx seems like a pretty neat box. I like the mixture of practical, everyday use items and spa/beauty products. The value was right in line with the cost of the subscription, with all of the products totaling around $50.50. I’m definitely curious to see what future boxes will contain.

Hi Wendy!
Thanks so much for your review. There was a card, a hand-written note, and a letter in the box that apparently didn’t make it to you for some reason?? We include a card that explains why each of our Collective Members picked the products and how to use them. So disappointed you didn’t get to see it as that is exactly what rounds out the box!
Aside from that I hope you enjoy the products as much as we do. Thanks again for your kind review.

Nope, no card or letter. 🙁 Just an envelope with a little thank you note. I even double and triple checked the box to make sure I wasn’t overlooking something. No worries though… It was a fun box. 🙂

Thank you for doing a review on this box. I never heard of this box before. In fact there is at least a few different boxes you have on your list I never heard before. So far the blogs I have looked at so far all have the same boxes. Thank you for reviewing different boxes.

No problem! I love reviewing all sorts of boxes. 🙂
