April bluum unboxing time!
If you’re not aware, bluum is a monthly subscription box for babies & kiddos from birth through age 5. Each box contains four or more products that are responsibly sourced, eco-friendly and often organic. The contents are based on the age of your kiddo in months, so there are many variations in the boxes that are sent in each shipment. (I don’t think I’ve seen any two boxes that were exactly the same.)
bluum (yes, with a lowercase b) now gives you the option to choose the exact items that you’ll receive in your box! When you log into your account you’ll be given a chance to pick one item from each of the available categories for that month’s box (food, toys, books, etc). If you’d rather be surprised, you can forgo picking and have them choose the items as they did in the past. They also give you the choice of opting out of the “mom” items, which I love because I kinda hated getting things for myself in a kid’s box. 😉
Subscriptions are $34/month or less with multi-month commitments. For a limited time, you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“.
My girls are currently 43 months old (remember — they go by months), so the bluum box I received was geared towards a 44 month (3 1/2 year) old child.
Let’s see what’s in my April 2016 bluum box!
The familiar red bluum box!
A peek inside.
As always, there’s no printed info card… just a generic insert indicating the current month and age range of your child. Once your box is delivered, you’ll be able to log in to your account and view a list of its contents on their site. Since I chose the items myself, I knew exactly what would be in the box.
Angel Dear Bella Cardigan ($24.40) – I was so excited when I saw this as one of my choices for the April box. I’ve never had any clothing options besides socks, so this was big! 😉 The pale pink sweater/cardigan is made of 100% cotton and is nice n’ soft. I love the pretty details around the cuffs and bottom. I also like that it came in 4T, giving my girls a little time to grow into it.
Kupp’ Glass Drinking Cup for Kids ($16.99) – We’ve been a bit lazy about getting the girls to drink from “real” cups (straws are just so easy!), so this looked like a good way to to help them (and us) along. This eco-friendly glass features a grippy handle and wide base made of BPA/BPS-free medical and food grade silicon. It’s toxin-free, dishwasher safe, and holds up to 6 ounces of liquid.
Nature’s Baby Organics Lovely Lavender Bubble Bath (~$13) – We can never have too many bubble bath products! This one is made with high quality botanicals, essential oils, organic ingredients, and natural moisturizers. It’s gluten-free, vegan, and doesn’t contain parabens, SLS, or synthetic fragrances.
Stephen Joseph Magnetic Tic Tac Toe Set ($7.70) – I’m not sure why I received this magnetic tic tac toe set, as I selected a book for my last item… Weird. I’ll contact customer service to see what happened, but I’m not too bothered by it. This is a cute toy that I probably would have eventually chose anyway.
I think this was my highest value bluum box to date! I love the sweater, the cup is something we totally could use right now, and vegan-friendly bubble bath is always welcome. April’s total retail value (using Amazon prices) was just over $62! 😀
Remember — if you’d like to sign up for bluum, you can save $10 on your first month with coupon code “MRVA286CCE“!
